Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the first episode of season seven Daniel Jackson returns, but how does he return?

Answer: Appears naked on a planet

The first episode of season 7 is titled 'Fallen'.

Daniel ascended towards the end of season 5 (Meridian) and spent season 6 as an ascended being. Daniel Jackson appeared to both Teal'c and Jack O'Neill when they were in peril during season 6. Breaking the rules of the Ascended too many times meant that Daniel was returned to human form as punishment.
2. On learning of the presence of naquadria on Jonas Quinn's homeworld, Anubis attacks in 'Homecoming', but what is the name of Jonas' home nation on the planet?

Answer: Kelowna

Jonas Quinn is an alien and joined SG-1 after Daniel Jackson ascended. Jonas' planet is designated P2S-4C3, and has three nations which do not see eye-to-eye with one another. The planet is later named Langara by a committee of representatives of the three nations.
Cimmeria is a planet under Asgard protection in 'Thor's Hammer' (season 1: 10) and 'Thor's Chariot' (season 2: 6) and Edora was the planet Jack O'Neill was stranded on in season 3, 'A Hundred Days'.
3. In 'Fragile Balance' Jack O'Neill has been cloned by which mischievous Asgard?

Answer: Loki

Loki is the name for the Norse god of mischief, and as an Asgard he certainly lives up to his name; having previously been censured by the High Council for unauthorised experimentation on humans.
Jack O'Neill's clone was portrayed by Michael Welch who has since gone on to appear in the 'Twilight' films as Mike Newton.
4. In 'Enemy Mine' the SGC run up against opposition from the local population, from whom does Daniel get help with the negotiations?

Answer: Chaka

The local population on P3X-403 are Unas and so Daniel asks his friend Chaka (previously met in season 4's 'The First Ones' and season 5's 'Beast of Burden') for help. The SGC wanted to mine naquadah from the planet, but the mine was considered sacred ground, after the death of many Unas at the hands of the Goa'uld.
5. In 'Avenger 2.0' Dr Felger causes chaos for SG-1 with a computer virus. What does the virus cause?

Answer: The malfunction of the entire Stargate network

The virus developed by Dr Felger was designed to disable a single stargate, but the original virus is changed and it affects the whole network. The problem is solved when Dr Felger and Carter travel to the starting point of the infection and upload an antivirus.
6. In 'Birthright' we meet the Hak'tyl, a group of female Jaffa warriors. Which Goa'uld had ordered that they must be killed at birth?

Answer: Moloc

The high priestess, Ishta, managed to rescue many of the condemned female Jaffa children over the years. Teal'c introduces them to tretonin as an alternative to needing a Goa'uld symbiote after puberty.
7. In 'Evolution' Daniel Jackson is searching for Telchak's device but is kidnapped in the process. Who kidnaps him?

Answer: Honduran rebels

'Evolution' is a two part episode.
Telchak's device was a powerful Ancient healing device, but it also reanimates the dead and its technology was used to create the first Goa'uld sarcophagus. The Tok'ra wanted the device to help develop a weapon to defeat Anubis' super soldiers.
8. When Samantha Carter is trapped aboard Prometheus in 'Grace' she hallucinates, seeing members of SG-1, her father and a little girl. What does the little girl do that gives Carter the idea to escape?

Answer: Blows bubbles

Carter manages to escape being trapped in a gas cloud by creating a hyperspace bubble which shifts her out of the space-time of the cloud to allow the sub-light engines to engage.

Importantly for Sam's character development, her hallucination of Jacob Carter asks Sam to allow herself to love and be loved.
9. In 'Chimera' Samantha Carter finally gets a social life, unfortunately Carter's previous relationships have ended in them dying... Who shoots Pete Shanahan?

Answer: Osiris

Pete Shanahan didn't die when he interrupted SG-1's stakeout of Osiris, and Carter gets to keep a boyfriend.

Osiris was the Goa'uld that took Sarah Gardner as a host in season 4 'The Curse'. SG-1 manage to capture Osiris and they save Sarah from a life as a Goa'uld host.
10. In 'The Lost City', as Jack O'Neill returns from P3X-439, he says to General Hammond, "I did it again". What has Jack O'Neill done again?

Answer: Had the Ancient repository downloaded into his brain

Jack O'Neill previously had the Ancient repository downloaded into his brain in the season 2 episode 'The Fifth Race', he needed the help of the Asgard to remove the information before it killed him. This time the Asgard are not available and the end of the episode sees Jack O'Neill frozen in stasis in Antarctica.
