Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which member of SG-1 is absent at the start of season 6?

Answer: Daniel Jackson

Daniel Jackson ascended (went all white-light and glowy) in season 5's penultimate episode 'Meridian'. He received a fatal dose of radiation when a Naquadria experiment went wrong on Kelowna.
2. In the episode 'Descent', SG-1 must escape from a crashed Goa'uld mothership. Where had it crashed?

Answer: Earth's Pacific Ocean

The mothership had been 'hijacked' by Thor's consciousness, and then abandoned by Anubis. A group of Ninja Jaffa Warriors cause the mothership to crash into Earth. SG-1 escape using death gliders.
3. From under the ice of Antarctica, in the episode 'Frozen', we meet Ayiana. What problem does she bring?

Answer: She carries a deadly virus.

Ayiana dies from the virus, her strength is depleted as she uses the healing power of the Ancients to cure the others infected... with the exception of Jack O'Neill. To save his life, Jack blends with a Tok'ra symbiote.
4. Jack O'Neill temporarily acquires a Tok'ra symbiote in season 6. Which other member of SG-1 had previously been blended with a Tok'ra symbiote?

Answer: Samantha Carter

Samantha Carter was temporarily blended with Jolinar in season 2's 'In the Line of Duty'. Her father, Jacob Carter, is blended with a Tok'ra, Selmak, which prevented his death from cancer in season 2's 'The Tok'ra'.
5. In the episode 'Cure' what medical substance do SG-1 acquire access to?

Answer: Tretonin

Tretonin was used by the inhabitants of Pangar to replace their immune system. It was made from ground-up Goa'uld symbiotes. It is later modified by the Tok'ra to allow Jaffa to live without an immature Goa'uld in their pouch.
6. In season 6 we meet Egeria. What or who is Egeria?

Answer: Tok'ra Queen

Egeria is discovered in the episode 'Cure' to be the mother of all the Tok'ra symbiotes. She was kept in captivity by the Pangarans to produce the symbiotes they needed to make tretonin.
7. Earth develops the spaceship X303 in season 6. What name for it does Jack O'Neill suggest to the President of the United States?

Answer: The Enterprise

Jack O'Neill is most disappointed in 'Unnatural Selection' that they didn't go for his suggestion. Samantha Carter points out that the name of the project is 'Prometheus', to which Jack O'Neill replies "It's a Greek tragedy. Who wants that?". The incorrect choices have all been used in 'Stargate: SG-1' and 'Stargate: Atlantis'.
8. In the episode 'Smoke and Mirrors,' Jack O'Neill is accused of assassinating whom?

Answer: Senator Kinsey

Senator Kinsey is not killed. The shooter used a mimic device left behind by the aliens from the season 3 episode 'Foothold' to look like Jack O'Neill. Samantha Carter solves the mystery and Jack O'Neill is cleared.
9. Which Goa'uld was responsible for the genetic altering of the inhabitants of P3X-367, in the episode 'Metamorphosis'?

Answer: Nirrti

The harm inflicted by Nirrti was previously encountered by SG-1 on Hanka (season 1, 'Singularity') where all the inhabitants and SG-7 were killed, with the exception of Cassandra.
Ba'al is encountered by Jack O'Neill in 'Abyss' and deserves a quiz of his own... he is so evil.
10. Which member of SG-1 develops precognition as a result of a brain tumour in the episode 'Prophecy'?

Answer: Jonas Quinn

Jonas Quinn joined SG-1 after Daniel Jackson ascended. He is from the planet Kelowna. The cause of the developing tumour is not determined, it may have been a result of the time when Nirrti had Jonas in the genetic altering machine in the episode 'Metamorphosis'. The tumour is safely removed by the end of the episode and SG-1 have again liberated a planet from Goa'uld domination!
