Sha're had just died and Daniel had resigned from the stargate program. O'Neill was attempting to convince him that he's not leaving for good by saying, "We both know you can't stay away." This is Daniel's response to Jack's comment.

SG-1 was on a medieval world, helping to look after a woman with chicken pox. Her people believed her sickness was the result of demon possession and were about to perform a trepanning ritual. This was Daniel's response to Jack's surprise after Daniel explained to Jack what trepanning is. Trepanning is a procedure where a hole is drilled into a person's head, allowing bad spirits to escape, thus saving the person.

Unfortunately, the person could also die as a result of this procedure.

Daniel was stuck on Earth, due to appendicitis, while Jack, Sam and Teal'c battled replicators aboard Thor's ship. He told this to General Hammond, who responded by saying, "Now you know how I feel most of the time."

After the death of Sha're, Jack was trying to convince Daniel to stay. He suggested Daniel would miss Teal'c and Sam. Daniel said he would only miss Sam because he is still upset with Teal'c. Even though Teal'c did save Daniel from Amaunet, he had to kill Sha're in the process.

Sam was kidnapped by Conrad, a dying man. Conrad believed that Sam, because she was once host to Jolinar, was the answer to his problems. Daniel entered the closed hospital, were Sam was being held prisoner, under the pretense he had just electrocuted himself and required medical attention.

He then zatted the security guard. According to Daniel, being zatted feels a lot like being electrocuted and he should know.
