This was
I'm making a note here
" "
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction

We do what we must because we can
For the good of all of us
Except the ones who are

But there's no sense crying over every mistake
You just keep on trying till you run out of
And the science gets done and you make
For the people who are still alive

I'm not even angry
I'm being so sincere right now
Even though you broke my heart
And killed me

And tore me to pieces
And threw every piece into
As they burned it hurt because
I was so happy for

Now, these make
And we're out of , we're releasing on time
So I'm GLaD I got burned, think of all the things we learned
For the people who are still alive

Go ahead and leave me
I think I'd prefer to stay inside
Maybe you'll find someone else
To help you

Maybe ?
That was a joke, ha-ha, fat chance
Anyway, this cake is great
It's so delicious and moist

Look at me, still talking when there's science to do
When I look out there, it makes me GLaD I'm not you
I've to run, there is to be done
On the people who are still alive

And believe me, I am still alive
I'm doing and I'm still alive
I feel fantastic and I'm still alive
While you're dying, I'll be still alive
And when you're dead, I will be still alive
Still alive

Still alive

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

Although waking up as a test subject inside the Aperture Science Enrichment Center might seem a little silly early on in the game, especially when you're provided a fascinating portal gun prototype to play around with, the cracks in the facade will emerge very quickly, even to the point where you'll end up needing to make an escape through the backrooms and maintenance corridors of the almost limitless building to break free of the dangerous chambers within.

GLaDOS, the AI responsible for overseeing the experiment, will be revealed to have gone rogue; no living scientists will be left in the building. All you can do is proceed despite GLaDOS' cloying and often humour, scrambling with the unique circumstances (and gun) to find your way out and maybe-- just maybe-- get a slice of cake. You know; to celebrate.

"Still Alive" will play once you've overcome all of your challenges and defeated GLaDOS in the end. Playing in the end credits as they're typed out on the screen for you, the lyrics will allude to some of the comments, names, places, and things that've occurred throughout the game, referencing places found in the "Half-Life" series (which the game is somewhat related to) and alluding to the delicious and moist cake you may have been disingenuously promised.

The track itself, written by then-popular online musician Jonathan Coulton, turned out to have lasting success in the gaming space. "Still Alive's" contents were meme-worthy; the track appeared in rhythm games like "Rock Band as DLC. It struck the balance between legitimate earworm and cheekiness that shot it into immense popularity in the gaming sphere in a way that most songs made for game soundtracks simply never would.

And people heard it! Despite it being buried in the end credits, "Portal" was a breakaway success on nearly all consoles and platforms, becoming one of the top-selling puzzle-platformers of its generation. Sure enough, the insistence that GLaDOS was still alive led to the inevitable sequel, "Portal 2", which released in 2011 (four years later). Coulton returned to record a new song, titled "Want You Gone" for the follow-up, but it didn't have the same catchiness.
