Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Leatherface can destroy cover exits, while Sissy and The Hitchhiker are capable of going through them. How can The Cook interact with cover exits?

Answer: He can close them

The Cook can spend a handful of seconds kicking cover exits closed, just like Johnny. Victims can re-open them, however, so it may be best to call Leatherface over to destroy them if they're proving problematic.
2. Leatherface can get in an attack on Victims who 'shimmy' through tight gaps in the wall, while Sissy and The Hitchhiker can simply follow Victims through these. What can The Cook do with these gaps?

Answer: Nothing

The Cook can sadly do little but helplessly watch as any Victim he was pursuing simply escapes his clutches. Johnny encounters this problem as well.
3. The Cook's power is known as Seek. This power can provide the player using him with 'wall-hacks' by highlighting Victims through walls. Victims can play around this, however, and can stop Seek from working. What of the following will not allow The Cook to find a Victim with Seek?

Answer: Crouch-walking

Seek will detect Victims based on noise made. Seek will highlight Victims who are doing literally anything other than crouch-walking or standing completely still.
4. Uniquely, Seek can help the player using The Cook - but it could also be a hindrance. Apart from mobile Victims, what else can Seek allow The Cook to hear?

Answer: Characters talking

Characters in this game in general, Family or Victim, frequently talk to themselves. They may be remarking on something taking place in front of them, or it may be a stray comment on the situation of the match as a whole. When using Seek, The Cook can hear these dialogue lines.

This can help him find Victims who are being stealthy just as it could simply tell the player that an ally Family member is nearby.
5. Apart from Seek, The Cook can also attach padlocks to doors with the hopes of denying paths of travel for the Victims. How many padlocks does he have?

Answer: Three

Padlocks function just as normal locks do, denying Victims passage unless they pick the padlock with an Unlock Tool. Padlocks which are picked are permanently gone for the game, but they would've served their purpose at that point, making it easy to get value from them.
6. The Cook chose an odd tool as his killing weapon of choice. What does he wield?

Answer: A broken broom

Despite such a strange weapon, The Cook has the second highest base Savagery of the entire Family, trailing only the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface. As such, though unconventional, you can't argue with the numbers.
7. The Cook's character description highlights his biggest weakness, in the form of a stat based deficiency. What does the game mention as being the "lowest in the Family" on The Cook?

Answer: Endurance

The Cook's base Endurance is a meager 10. This is by far the lowest on The Family, as everyone else has a 20 or higher for this mark. Combined with his inability to 'shimmy', The Cook is clearly not ideal to be chasing Victims, at least by himself.
8. Like his peers, The Cook has three perks which are exclusive to himself. One of them is known as Prey Dive. Prey Dive interacts with his Seek power. When Seek identifies a Victim, what will Prey Dive do?

Answer: Increase The Cook's stamina regeneration

Sadly, this perk is mostly useless as The Cook is terrible in chase even with the small benefits this perk offers.
9. Nobody Escapes Hell provides some reinforcement to The Cook's padlocks. What does this perk do to them?

Answer: Make them harder to lockpick

The extent of this is dependent on how far the perk has been levelled. While this works quite effectively against most Victims, Connie's power counters it almost completely. As such, if using this perk, The Cook player would do well to prioritize helping their teammates find and eliminate Connie, if a player is using her.
10. I Smell Blood works hand-in-glove with The Cook's Seek power. What does it do for Seek?

Answer: Increases its range

Simply put, it's a flat benefit to The Cook's power. Given that The Cook will want to use Seek a lot, it's a good perk on him for straightforward reasons.
