A 'U-ey' is a U-turn, and a 'ute' is a utility vehicle, similar to a pick-up truck.

To get involved in a blue is to get into a fistfight. The Aussie sense of the ridiculous is highlighted by calling a redheaded man 'Blue' or 'Bluey'. The same logic applies to calling a bald man 'Curly' or a short person 'Lofty'. To make a blue also means to make a mistake.

Interstate rivalry is fierce in Australia, especially on the sporting field. Very derisive names are inflicted on other states, however, we will band together as one if we feel threatened. A Croweater is a South Australian, named (allegedly) for the multitudes of the large black birds of the crow family, a sandgroper is from Western Australia which has the largest desert areas and a banana bender is from Queensland where the majority of our tropical fruits are grown.

Answer: beer drinking

They are all beer glasses of varying size, depending on where you are. In my home town of Sydney a schooner holds 15 oz and a middy holds 10. A 'handle' is a beer mug with a handle and can be any size but usually holds about a pint of your favourite brew.

'Relo' is a lazy way of saying 'relative' or 'relation'. Lobbed means arrived. I hope they answer affirmatively to the question 'didjabringabeeralong?'.
