From Quiz
Weird and Wonderful World Records

Answer: 62.71kg (138.25lbs)

Presented at the Alaska State Fair in Palmer, the location it was grown is significant, according to Mr Robb: "Under our long summer days, it really doesn't get dark, there's just kind of a twilight. So the cabbages never really shut down, they just kind of continue to lumber along and grow." (Check out a pic, it's an impressive cabbage.)

4. This "Icebox Of The Nation" (U.S.) took another town to court in 2002 for using its revered title in vain. Fraser, Colorado lost the suit to whom?

From Quiz Ahh, But It's Cold Outside!

Answer: International Falls, Minnesota

International Falls has always been proud of its nickname and took umbrage when the town of Fraser cold-heartedly used it. This was not a frivolous lawsuit, and it wavered back and forth until settled in 2008, and Minnesota won. The day after settlement, the temperature in the winner's city was -40F (which is -40C as well, the only place where the two scales meet). International Falls is a border city with Canada, near the falls and bridge of the same name. The city lies on the Rainy River and covers about 6.4 square miles; it had a population of 6,424 in the 2010 census. Recorded low temperature was -55F, and high was 103F. They have had 68 inches of snowfall during the winter season. They celebrate their chilliness with a four day festival every year which features candlelight skiing, frozen turkey bowling and snow sculpting.

Answer: Balancing on a Swiss ball for 2 hours, 16 mins and 2 seconds

What an amazing bloke, eh? His breaking-eggs record took place in New York City in 2008. His running on stilts in China for five miles was in 2008; he broke a record that been held since 1892. His record for the furthest distance while juggling on a pogo stick was set on Easter Island in 2010. Other notable records he has held include: underwater pogo stick jumping (I swear I'm not making this up), the most situps in an hour at the top of the Eiffel Tower, and, my personal favourite, sack racing a yak in Mongolia! Furman decided to break, or set, a record in all seven continents. He achieved this. That's dedication for you!
