Answer:
Zora Hurston
American writer, anthropologist, folklorist Zora Neale Hurston (1891-1960) was born in Alabama, and lived for some years in Eatonville, Florida, the first black incorporated municipality in the USA. She left her family to study anthropology. She wrote about 50 short stories, plays, essays and several novels; part of her work was published posthumously. Her second novel, considered the best of them, is "Their Eyes Were Watching God", published in 1937, which deals with racial segregation and the situation of women in American society. The main character of the book is Janie Crawford, a teenager who gradually tries to take control of her life but ends up recognizing that many things are uncontrollable and that people will only be spared if God takes care of them.
The author and her work were forgotten for many years until 1975, when Alice Walker published the article "In Search of Zora Neale Hurston" in Ms. Magazine, which sparked public interest in Zora's work.
