Lancelot also says that the Romans believed the Sarmatian horseman to be the best ever fighters, this is why they were saved.

Lancelot is ambidextrous. In the Director's Edition of the film, Lancelot throws his sword with his right hand, then crawls over and runs his other sword through Cyrnic's neck with his left hand. In the theatrical version, it only shows Lancelot throwing his sword with his right hand.

British actor Hugh Dancy and Austrailian actor Joel Edgerton played Galahad and Gawain. Dancy reunited with his "Black Hawk Down" co-star Ioan Gruffudd (Lancelot) in this film. Joel Edgerton is known for his role in the 2004 movie "Ned Kelly" in which he plays Aaron Sherritt.

We often see Gawain and Galahad riding side by side for instance, when they are riding to rescue the Roman family who live north of Hadrian's wall.

But suicide cannot be chosen for another." Arthur: "Yet you choose death for this family?" Lancelot: "I choose life! And freedom! For myself and the men!"
