1. 'Tikka' normally refers to roasted chunks of a food. I've never heard of a food called bow, so which chart-topping lady was Chef listening to when he came up with "Tikka Bow"?

From Quiz
A Second Helping of Korma Chameleon

Answer: Madonna

"Take a Bow" was released as a single in 1994 and became a major hit for Madonna in the US, remaining at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for seven weeks. It didn't do so well in the UK, failing to reach the top ten and ending a ten-year run of 35 top ten hits in the UK singles chart.

2. A bit of yoghurt, some cucumber and mint goes to make this dressing, but who was singing when Chef put "Paperback Raita" on the menu?

From Quiz Korma Chameleon

Answer: The Beatles

"Paperback Writer" was released on the A-side of a single in 1966. It reached the number one spot in several countries including the US and the UK. "Set Fire to the Rain" came out in 2011 on Adele's album titled "21". The song reached number one on the charts in six countries, and placed in the top ten of another twelve countries. Adele co-wrote the song with Fraser T. Smith, with whom she has worked on numerous songs.

From Quiz Korma Chameleon

Answer: Adam and the Ants

Strictly speaking, it would probably be more correct to use the word "Tandoori" as in "Tandoori Chicken". Adam and the Ants, a British band, were active from the late 1970s for about five years. "Stand and Deliver" was their most successful single and was released in 1981. Burundi drums often featured in their music.

From Quiz Salmon-chanted Evening!

Answer: The Power of Love

"The Power of Love" was actually written for the film "Back to the Future", and became a number one hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Huey Lewis and the News is an American (California) rock band which - as of 2012 - has had 19 top ten singles in the US charts. 1984's "I Want a New Drug" and 1994's "But It's Alright" are just two of their more popular songs.

7. Michael Franti leads the band Michael Franti and Spearhead, which gives us a song about caramel and peanuts. What is the name of this mish-mash candy smash?

From Quiz Hershey Goes Again

Answer: Payday & Pay Day

"Say Hey" was the biggest hit on Michael Franti and Spearhead's 2008 album "All Rebel Rockers". The full title is "Say Hey (I Love You)", but that would be too mean of me to make you type. ;-) Payday is a candy bar made by Hershey. It has a caramel center wrapped in peanuts. So, the new candy song is simply titled "Pay Day".

Written by two members of the band - Don Henley and Glenn Frey - the song was later used in the 1980 movie "Urban Cowboy". Formed in 1971, the Eagles stayed together until 1980, at which point the members took up solo careers. In 1994, however, they reunited, and have recorded and toured with ongoing success. From Quiz Salmon-chanted Evening!

Answer: 1960s

Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield are the duo behind such hits as 1964's "You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin'", 1965's "Just Once in My Life" and 1974's "Rock and Roll Heaven". The Righteous Brothers were not brothers in fact, but took that name from a comment made in 1962 by an audience member when they were performing as part of a group called the Paramours. Deciding to strike off on their own as a duo, they performed and recorded until Hatfield's death in 2003. Bill Medley continues to perform as of 2012. And, Cher was a backup singer on "You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin'".

15. Rihanna has a song that sounds very candy-like. What would her song be called if it was about a small, circular piece of chocolate that is covered in a candy coating?

From Quiz Hershey Goes Again

Answer: M&M

Rihanna is a Barbadian-born singer. Her big hit "S&M" was released late in the year 2010 on the album "Loud", but was not a single until early 2011. M&Ms are candies made by Mars, and M&M actually stands for the surnames of the founders of the company, Mars and Murray. An M&M can come in all different types, like milk chocolate, peanut, dark chocolate, dark chocolate peanut, mint, crisped rice, peanut butter, raspberry, pretzel, coconut, almond, and orange. I could have used rapper Eminem for the question, but voted against it since this quiz is about music, not artists. :-)

16. Whose cover version of this song pulled at Chef's heart strings when he put "Tears on My Pilau" as a side dish on the menu?

From Quiz A Second Helping of Korma Chameleon

From Quiz Salmon-chanted Evening!

Answer: Dream Police

Cheap Trick is an American rock band that formed in 1973, and while the band members have changed over the years, as of 2012 the band is still performing and recording. They have recorded numerous albums, garnered praise from both the public and fellow musicians, and have contributed to the soundtracks of several movies, including 1986's "Top Gun", 1992's "Gladiator" and 2009's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". The single "Born to Run" along with the album of the same name, both released in 1975, helped singer song-writer Bruce Springsteen achieve mainstream success. 27. For one of the starters on his menu, Chef is offering "Bhajji Girl". Hmm. Which Danish dance band was he listening to when he put that on the menu?

From Quiz A Second Helping of Korma Chameleon

Answer: Aqua

Bhajji is a spicy potato fritter-style snack often used as a starter. They are usually mildly spiced. "Barbie Girl" (1997) did well for Aqua and topped the Singles Chart in the UK for three weeks as well as reaching number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2000 the song provoked Mattel, the maker of the Barbie doll, to sue for copyright violation all the way up to the US Supreme Court, all of which helped to give the song exposure. The law suits failed. In 2009 Mattel produced its own version of the song for advertising purposes.
