In the beginning of Leg 11, teams departed from the Pit Stop outside Geunjeongjeon Hall at Gyeongbokgung Palace. As the four teams participating headed out, they were instructed to remain in Seoul for the time being and to go to Hangang Park on Yeouido Island. Once there, teams needed to find marked pedestals at which kites were flying overhead. Once they pulled a string, their next clue would drop and they'd be able to move on. This clue told teams to head to the next destination: Brisbane, Australia. Here, teams would find their next clue.

Departing from the Chateau des Alpilles in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France in the middle of the night, teams were instructed to fly from Marseille to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Once there, teams would need to locate the Magere Brug, a bridge crossing the Amstel River in the middle of the city. Once teams arrived at this skinny, white bridge, they would be able to continue on with Leg 5 in Holland. Teams connected through London or Paris in order to make their connections to Amsterdam, but inevitably, all eight remaining teams arrived in the morning and early afternoon.

Teams arrived at the Palazzo de Matzo in Venice, Italy to find a Road Block awaiting them at 5:00pm. For this Road Block, teams needed to choose one member to grab a photograph and use it to compare with masks inside a nearby building. Once they determined which mask on one of the many people inside matched the picture, they would receive their next clue directing them to the second Pit Stop, the Citta de Padora docked in Venice's main lagoon. If any team member was unable to correctly guess the proper mask, their photo would be taken and they would need to move to the back of the line to try again. Only four people could be inside the party at once. Team members involved in this challenge included Chip, Jeff, Tian, Russell, Monica, Josh, Jon, Chris, Millie, and Al.

Twelve teams departed after receiving their clues at the race's starting line, the center of Dodger's Stadium in Los Angeles, California, and from here they were instructed to make their way to Milan, Italy on one of three predetermined flights out of LAX. Seats, of course, would be first-come-first-serve and teams would need to park in a specific car park before getting their tickets. Only four teams boarded the Swiss Air flight (the earliest), three teams took the second, a Lufthansa flight, and the remaining five teams boarded a flight on KLM. Once in Milan, teams needed to take a taxi to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II to find their next clue.

In the first Detour task of the race, teams made their way to Cinque Torri in the Italian Alps. once they took a chairlift to the top, they needed to find a clue box containing their Detour options, 'Search' and 'Rescue'. 'Search' required that players make their way to a large field on the mountain to search for a key buried in the snow with a navigational device. Once players found this, they needed to use it to drive a snowmobile across the mountain to their next clue box. None of the teams chose this task. Instead, eleven teams participated in the 'Rescue' task which required that they first cross a wire cable bridge and then take a zipline across a ravine to reach their next clue box. After the Detour, teams made their way to the first Pit Stop: The Hotel Lajadira.

Once teams took the seven thousand mile flight, they were instructed to make their way through Brisbane, Australia. David and Jeff, on the other hand, decided to take the Fast Forward clue (becoming the last team to do so during this race). For the Fast Forward, David and Jeff needed to drive an hour out of Brisbane to an oceanfront beach and perform a lifeguard test by swimming out into the surf on a board, and pulling the designated swimmer to the shore. After this, they were able to proceed directly to the Pit Stop.

Answer: Reichen and Chip

To claim the Fast Forward, teams needed to drive one hundred forty miles to the town of Sepilok to find the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary. Once there, they would need to head into the forests and feed four pieces of fruit to hungry orangutans to claim the clue directing them to the Pit Stop. While Kelly and Jon initially decided to go to the Fast Forward since they had been trailing in the beginning of the leg, Reichen and Chip were the first to arrive and they subsequently took the clue before Kelly and Jon even stepped foot at the reserve.

Once at the Magere Brug, teams were told to hop into one of the marked motorboats nearby and travel up the Amstel River to the Scheepvaart Museum where they would able to find the next route marker outside. This route marker contained the Detour for this leg of the race, a choice between '500 Kilograms' or '15 Feet'. In '500 Kilograms', teams needed to travel thirty miles to a cheese market, don wooden shoes, and transport cheese to a wooden scale using a wooden carrying system. Once 500 kilograms had been weighed out exact, they would be able to move on. Reichen and Chip and Steve and Dave completed this task. Meanwhile, in '15 Feet', teams needed to travel twelve miles to a ranch to search a fifteen foot pile of cow manure for their clue. The remaining four teams participating completed this task.

Rather than perform the tasks later on in the leg, Josh and Steve opted to attempt the Fast Forward during which they needed to travel to Schönbrunn Palace and don formal attire to enter a specific ballroom. Once inside, they needed to carry a tray of champagne glasses (each) filled with champagne across a dance floor filled with couples performing a waltz. Once both trays had been carried over without any spilling, that team, in this case, Josh and Steve, would be directed to the third Pit Stop.

In Leg 3, teams made their way to the Donauturm in Vienna, Austria where one team member needed to be chosen to take a number and perform a bungee jump from the top of Austria's tallest building. Once the selected teammate had reached the ground, they would receive their next clue. Jaree, Sheree, Reichen, Millie, Jon, Jon, Russell, Jeff, and Steve all participated in this Road Block task. After the Road Block here, teams were told to get onto a train and travel to the town of Gmunden to find the Pit Stop, the Schloss Ort, a castle on the sea.

After departing from the Poring Hot Springs, teams needed to take a marked car and travel one hundred forty miles to the Trushidup Palm Oil Plantation in Sandakan, Malaysia. Here, a Detour was given. In 'Chop', teams needed to use a sharp tool to cut down palm nut bunches from nearby trees which contained the next clue. However, for every bunch with a clue inside, there would be three bunches with no clue whatsoever. In 'Haul', teams needed to transport twenty-five nut bunches, using a wheelbarrow, and place them in the back of a large truck. Once this was done, teams would receive their next clue. While Kelly and Jon completed 'Chop', the other teams completed 'Haul'.

Answer: Jaree

Once at the Alleppy sports field, teams took a number and participated in the Road Block in which one member of each team needed to 'put up with a lot of bull'. In this Road Block, the selected team member needed to hold onto a series of bulls as they raced across a muddy field to a finish line. If that racer did not hold on, they would need to move to the back of the line until they made it the whole way. This Road Block operated on a first-come-first-serve basis. David, Al, Tian, Jon, Chuck, and Reichen completed this Road Block task. After the Road Block, teams were told to drive into Alleppey.

Rather than search for a museum by boat in the midst of Amsterdam's canals, Millie and Chuck decided to pursue the Fast Forward by heading north of Amsterdam to find the Molen Van Sloten Windmill. Once there both of them needed to be strapped onto the spinning structure and take ten revolutions around the windmill. Once this was completed, they were able to make their way directly to the Pit Stop. Meanwhile, the rest of the teams made their way to the town of Monnickendam, Netherlands.

Reaching the Heumarkt, teams were instructed to find a horse-drawn carriage known as a fiacre and ride their vehicles to Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna nearly six miles away. The fiacres departed in groups of four every half hour, so claiming a ticket was necessary. Once at Schönbrunn Palace, teams were instructed to complete the Detour task. In this Detour, teams needed to choose between 'Mozart' and 'Beethoven'. In 'Mozart', teams needed to carry a six-stringed bass six miles to the house in which Mozart composed 'The Marriage of Figaro' while in 'Beethoven', teams needed to carry sheet music to a house owned by Beethoven nearly eleven miles away. Both tasks needed to be done on foot. While many teams chose 'Mozart', Kelly and Jon chose 'Beethoven'.

In Leg 4, teams flew from Austria to France and made their way to the city of Le Mans, France for a Road Block task. In this Road Block, the selected member needed to suit up and change four tires on a race car before hopping in with a professional driver and taking a full lap around the track. At the end, the team could receive a clue from a trophy on the winner's podium. Monica, Tian, Chip, Chuck, Jon, Jeff, Josh, Kelly, and Dave all took the ride in this one and were told to make their way across France to Marseille, over five hundred miles away.

Once arriving in Cortina d'Ampezzo, teams also received the first Fast Forward option of the race. To claim the clue, the participating team needed to head to Passo Giau to find a field containing their flag. Once there, they would need to don snowshoes and hike up to a route marker at the top of a hill where their clue would be found. Monica and Sheree, who arrived in Cortina d'Ampezzo on the second bus, decided to snag the Fast Forward early on in the race in order to maintain a lead.

Teams arrived at Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, Austria to find the Detour awaiting them. In 'Mozart', teams needed to carry a bass violin six miles to the location where Mozart composed "The Marriage of Figaro". Once there, they would retrieve their next clue. In 'Beethoven', teams needed to take a portfolio of sheet music approximately eleven miles to a lesser-known residence of Beethoven across town. Only Kelly and Jon performed the latter task. After the Detour, teams were told to make their way to the Donauturm across the city.

Answer: Three

After the Detour, teams were told to drive to Mooloolaba, Australia, about forty-three miles away, and find Underwater World. Once there, teams found the Road Block task in which one member of each participating team needed to choose one person who thought it was safe to go back into the water. That participant needed to dive into the shark tank wearing a protective scuba suit and walk along the bottom of the tank to receive their next clue in a treasure chest. Over one hundred sharks call the tank home. Jon, Reichen, and Al participated in this task.

After the Detour, teams were instructed to drive (with a map) thirty-five miles to Gomantong Caves whereupon they found the Road Block task for this leg of the race. In the Road Block, one member of each participating team needed to climb a vertical rattan ladder over fifty feet above the floor of the cave, and then out onto a horizontal platform to collect a basket containing their next clue. Jon, Chuck, Jon, and David all finished this task, collecting the clue in the cave.

Once teams found Beach Road in Alleppey, they found the next clue box which contained a Detour. This Detour was a choice between 'Baskets' and 'Trunks'. in 'Baskets, which was completed by Reichen and Chip, teams needed to take bikes and transport ten chickens to a series of farms within the town of Alleppey. In 'Trunks', which was completed by David and Jeff, Jon and Al, Kelly and Jon, Tian and Jaree, and Millie and Chuck, teams needed to load two bundles of coir onto an elephant and ride it to a single shop as highlighted on a map. After the delivery, teams would receive their next clue.

Once team members had made their way to the town of Monnickendam, they needed to locate a route marker at the statue known as 'The Smoker'. This contained the Road Block clue for this leg of the race. In the Road Block, team members participating needed to hop into a nearby boats and collect twenty-five eels, one at a time, with their bare hands, placing them into a marked container. Once all twenty-five were confirmed by the fisherman nearby, they would be able to continue on. Al, Jon, Reichen, Sheree, David, Tian, and Steve all completed this slimy Road Block task.

After the Detour, teams were told to make their way to the route marker at the base of the Donauturm, the tallest structure in Austria. Here, teams found the Road Block for this leg of the race. For this task, teams needed to choose one member to perform a bungee jump 460 feet from the top of the Donauturm in Vienna, the tallest tower jump in Europe. Jaree, Sheree, Reichen, Millie, Jon, Jon, Russell, Jeff, and Steve all completed this task and took the next clue at the bottom of the tower.

In Leg 5, teams reached the Smoker Statue at the water's edge in the town of Monnickendam, The Netherlands to collect the Road Block clue. In this Road Block, team members needed to hop aboard a boat and, using their bare hands, grab twenty-five slippery live eels and toss them into a box on the side of the ship. Once this was done, teams could collect the clue directing them to the fifth Pit Stop, the Kastel Muiderslot in Muiden. Al, Jon, Reichen, Sheree, David, Jaree, and Steve all decided to grab for the eels in this leg of the race.

At Cinque Torri, teams had their first Detour option, a choice between 'Search' and 'Rescue'. In 'Search', teams needed to use a navigational tool on a hundred and sixty acre field of snow to find a key buried beneath the surface. Using this key, players could drive a snowmobile to their next route marker. In 'Rescue', teams needed to head up the mountain to cross a small rescue wire bridge and then take a precarious zipline over a deep ravine to reach the next clue on the other side. Although this task was more frightening, all participating teams completed it.

In the Detour in Leg 5, teams headed out from the Scheepvaart Museum in Amsterdam and selected either '15 Feet' in which teams traveled twelve miles to a ranch where they needed to search a 15 foot pile of cow dung for their clue, or '500 Kilograms' in which they needed to head thirty miles to a town where they needed to wear wooden clogs and transfer 500 kilograms of cheese onto a scale using a wooden transport device. Jon and Al, Jon and Kelly, Monica and Sheree, David and Jeff, and Tian and Jaree completed the '15 Feet' task while Steve and Dave and Reichen and Chip completed '500 Kilograms'. After the Detour, teams went to the town of Monnickendam for a Road Block task.
