When Marge finds out, she asks the lady to leave town. When she doesn't Marge informs the townspeople about it at the town meeting and convinces them to destroy it. Then Homer starts a song convincing them not to tear it down. What he sings is "You could tear down Moe's or the Kwik-E-Mart and nobody would care. But the heart and soul of Springfield's in our Maison Derriere." This is ironic because usually Moe's and the Kwik-E-Mart are Homer's two favorite places. Marge sings a verse of her own song, trying to re-convince the people to destroy the place. While she's singing, she accidentally turns on her bulldozer which damages a whole wall of the house.
