A Link to the Past Trivia Questions

1. What dungeon in the Game Boy Advance port actually had one of its puzzles changed, which removed a large amount of backtracking?

From Quiz
Let's Play 26: "Zelda: A Link to the Past" Pt. 2

Answer: Ice Palace

Toward the end of the Ice Palace, there is a portion where you must open a door by pushing a block onto a button on the floor. After pushing the block onto the button, there is noway to get to the door save for backtracking through a large portion of the dungeon. In the GBA port Nintendo changed the puzzle, cutting out the need to backtrack. In the original, you can also cut out of backtracking provided you go to Misery Mire first and get the Cane of Somaria, which allows you to place a block onto the button.

2. Which item must a player have to access the Chris Houlihan room?

The amount of time the players has to get from the Sanctuary to what would be the castle basement is shortened enough for you to be sent to the Chris Houlihan room if you use the boots properly.

The original title of "A Link to the Past" is actually "The Legend of Zelda: Triforce of the Gods", which was changed for international markets due to its religious references.
