One of EA's most popular divisions is EA Sports, which produces game franchises like "Madden NFL" (American football) and "NHL" (hockey.) EA Sports' famous motto that kicks off every game, "it's in the game," is voiced by British journalist Andrew Anthony. The FIFA video game series began in 1993 with the release of "FIFA International Soccer." The game was the first to have a license from FIFA (the international institution that governs association football) and FIFPro (an organization that represents soccer players of the world.) In addition to the yearly releases, FIFA games also come out when there is a World Cup, the first time being in 1998. The game features several modes of playing, such as Career Mode, Tournament Mode, and a story mode called "The Journey," which premiered in the 2017 edition and follows the journey of the fictional British soccer player Alex Hunter.
