1. What is the name of Queen Deidranna's personal assistant?

Answer: Elliot

"Elliot, you idiot!" Elliot is the most devout servant an evil dictator could possibly hope for. He regularly reports the player's actions to the Queen, including mostly bad news. The Queen then invariably slaps Elliot silly and calls him an idiot, which seems to have absolutely no effect on the poor bloke's enthusiasm for his job. Eventually, as the player's forces approach the Queen's palace in the capital, Deidranna becomes so enraged that she actually shoots Elliot in the forehead. Surprisingly, this does nothing to stop him either!

Answer: Mike

Mike was the top mercenary available for hire in "Jagged Alliance 1", and quite a fan-favourite! Sirtech ("JA2"'s developing company) decided to remove Mike from the roster for the second game, and instead licensed his mercenary services to the Tyrant Queen, meaning that he's an enemy this time around. This plot twist sits well with Mike's back-story as a cunning opportunist. Mike will usually appear when least expected, carrying a very powerful rifle (an H&K G11), and will not hesitate to kill your men. Fortunately, no one on your team will be dismayed for putting several lead bullets into him.

Answer: Porn shop

Tony is the only local merchant who deals with all manners of weaponry. He will gladly buy weapons from you, making him a good income supplement. His selection may not always be satisfactory, but his prices sure beat buying guns on the internet. Tony is hiding at the back of a porn shop in San-Mona. To get to him you'll have to placate the store's proprietor/frontman, Hans, which requires a bit of creative thinking.

Answer: Sal

Pablo handles incoming shipments at Drassen Airport. However, unless his palm is properly "greased", he will occasionally steal parts of your shipments, setting you back financially. You can opt to intimidate him, but like anyone else in the game he might also be killed outright. He'll then be replaced by Sal, a nice guy who means no harm, but can often be far worse when it comes to shipments (he can lose an entire shipment by mistake, or cause massive delays!). The best option would be to slip Pablo a nice bundle of cash - this will placate him and ensure that your shipments arrive without a hitch.

Answer: Eldin

The old man is guarding the museum's main attraction (and pretty much the only real exhibit) - the Chalice of Chance, stolen by the Queen's troops from the ruins at Chitzena. Eldin patrols the museum at most hours of the day, and if you intend to snatch the Chalice you would need to figure out the exact time to slip past him, disable the security system, grab the Chalice, and get out without being seen. If he sees you, he'll invariably attack, which means you'll have to kill him... This will not bode well with your reputation, and may make it impossible to recruit militia to defend the town of Balime, where the museum is.

Answer: Carmen

Carmen travels around Arulco and can often by located in one of its many bars. He offers $10,000 for the heads of a number of terrorists who may or may not be hiding in the country. Yes, that literally means THEIR HEADS, which you must cut off their dead bodies with a machete after killing them. If you find one and attack him (or her), make sure to avoid aiming for the head as you might accidentally blow it clear off!

Answer: Bloodcats

The bloodcats have no armor, and shots of HP rounds can bring a cat down very quickly, even before you get the high-damage guns which could do the same job with AP rounds. That is, of course, assuming that the cat hasn't killed you first. AFAIK tanks take little OR NO damage from HP rounds, and camouflaged enemies are often just as armored as non-camouflaged ones. Crepitus are damaged equally by both types of ammo.

Answer: Alma

Sergeant Krott works at the Alma military base. If you assault the training facility at Alma, there's a good chance that the enemy will blow up a section of the base to prevent its secrets from falling into your hands. Sergeant Krott will invariably be injured in the explosion. If you're smart enough to help him out, he may boost your local popularity.

Answer: Kulba

John and Mary Kulba are a retired American couple who were hoping to take a nice, quiet vacation in Aruba. Unfortunately, John bought tickets to Arulco instead - a military dictatorship in the midst of a civil war. You'll find the Kulbas at the ruins in Chitzena, and they'll ask you to escort them back to the airport at Drassen, which is way across on the other side of the country. While the trip may be long (unless you've got the helicopter at your disposal), it does carry a considerable reward.

Answer: AKSU-74

This quick sub-machine gun is also sub-par and tends to break down often. Like most Russian automatics in the game, it gets less damage on each shot, but makes up for it by high-speed and high-count burst fire.

Answer: Nothing

Fredo doesn't sell items, he sells service. In fact, he will repair electronic items for money. While this may be a costly solution, Fredo is usually much faster at repairing such items than the average merc, which could save a lot of time. Still, there are several mercs that could easily repair as fast as Fredo, but he has one card up his sleeve: if you find a certain weapon that has an electronic lock on it, Fredo might be able to reset that lock.

Answer: Kyle

Kyle is the token "camp" character in Arulco. His dream is to own a leather shop; and conveniently enough there is a leather shop in San Mona as well. If you do a certain good deed, you will be granted the deed (no pun intended!) to that leather shop, which you can give to Kyle for a substantial financial compensation.

Answer: Billy

Billy guards the main door at the San Mona brothel. He won't cause any trouble, unless of course your relations with the San Mona criminal organization have gone sour. If you're doing side-quests involving said brothel (hint-hint!), you should remember that Billy is not the only guard in the building...

Answer: Drassen Mine sector

The Drassen Counterattack was one of the first features added to v1.13. If enabled, once the entire town of Drassen has been liberated, a force of several dozen enemy soldiers will assault the Drassen Mine in a concentrated attack. Since Drassen is usually captured in the very early stages of the game, this can be a VERY difficult battle to win! It makes use of 1.13's reinforcements feature, which allows enemies (and militia!) to join a battle from several different directions, and constantly flood in to the battle. New versions of v1.13 promise to add counterattacks against other cities as well. Of course, like every other feature in this mod, it can easily be turned off if you do not want to face such a difficult fight.

Martha's son, Joey, has run away from home. She's very distraught about the whole thing, and believes he has gone to the Estoni junkyard where there is "lots of adventure to be had". She's pretty sure he hasn't gone to San Mona - after all, why would a teenage boy want to go to a town that's full of booze, prostitutes and guns? Now guess where Joey is.

Of those listed above, it is the Laser Scope. In fact, The Rocket Rifle can't take half the attachments in the game (like extended barrel, bipod, etc.). It is considered to already have a Laser Scope installed, by the way.

Answer: MadLab & Mad Lab & Mad-Lab

Kairns escaped the Queen's employ and is hiding out somewhere in the wilderness. He was forced to use his scientific skills to create new weapons for the Queen, something he found rather distasteful. Now, he spends his entire time plotting to assassinate her. If you find Dr. Kairns, he may give you a new addition to your team. It's not a mercenary per-se, but it may really help you in your final assault against the palace.

These were the guys responsible for reviving the game - they not only translated the game into a more modern programming language, but also set up the entire infrastructure that makes 1.13 so accessible to new programmers. "Coders" for "Jagged Alliance 2" v1.13 have come and gone, but the legacy of the White Hats lives on.
