Ghadius devout follower, this jester-like character transforms into a sort of giant turtle at night. Who is he?

From Quiz ""Klonoa" Characters"

Klonoa Trivia Questions

1. The most common enemy in both Phantomile and Lunatea, these cute round pink creatures are often key to solving puzzles and useful for double jumping. Who are they?

From Quiz
"Klonoa" Characters

Answer: Moo

Klonoa can only double jump while holding certain enemies, Moos being the most common. Kitons will allow Klonoa to fly, but only for a short time before they disappear. Spindles and Giant Spindles can deflect attacks from the side and often require a Moo to be destroyed. Klonoa cannot grab the shark-like Digons and will be hurt from touching them. Moos also come in a green flying form, a blue boarder form, an armored form (being blue underneath the armor), and a giant form which is filled with dream stones.

2. Which type of weapon can you NOT use in this game?

From Quiz The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero

Answer: Bow and arrow

Klonoa can wield various melee weapons, Guntz can use several types of guns, and Pango uses bombs. You get weapons from chests in levels, or you can buy them at the weapon shops in the World Map.

3. What is the only vision in "Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil" that doesn't contain a mirror spirit (not counting the boss levels)?

From Quiz Klonoa the Dream Traveler

Answer: The Forgotten Path

Both "Klonoa 2: Lunatea's veil" and "Klonoa: Door to Phantomile" feature mirror spirits which upon being released will temporarily double the score for each dream stone. They make collecting all 150 gems per vision much more of a challenge, as you are required to get a certain amount while it is activated. In a few instances, you can sneak in a few more than the required amount - resulting in you getting over 150 dream stones.

4. Ghadius devout follower, this jester-like character transforms into a sort of giant turtle at night. Who is he?

From Quiz "Klonoa" Characters

Answer: Joka

When Joka is touched by light, he transforms back into the jester-like Joka. Lephise and Seadoph are under Ghadius' control until Klonoa frees them in "Klonoa: Door to Phantomile". Solare, along with Soleil, help operate the sun temple. Joka also appears in "Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament" for the GBA.

5. What is the only boss in "Klonoa: Door to Phantomile" whose name is not mentioned in the story?

From Quiz Klonoa the Dream Traveler

Answer: The fourth boss, after A Lull in the Wind

The fourth boss is a unique battle, as it has you swinging on a log forcing you to dodge obstacles as you go back and forth, and hit the boss as you swing toward it. In the music player, the first three bosses have their names in the title of the music track featured during their fight. The track for the fourth boss fight is titled "Baladium's Drive", so we can assume it's name is Baladium.

6. This character can split into two versions of him or herself, useful for confusing Klonoa. Who is it?

From Quiz "Klonoa" Characters

Answer: Tat

Tat splits into a black and white version of herself at Joilant to confuse Klonoa and makes him go after her at the fun park and the water slide. Tat reveals she is a female during a scene in the Ark Revisited level in which she tells Klonoa "That's Miss Tat to you!". Polonte is the name of the hatchling that fights Klonoa in Mira-Mira.

7. Who's the boss you fight in World 6 of the game?

From Quiz The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero

Answer: Janga

Janga is the boss you fight after the first world where you're on the moon, though you first come across him in the third world. Janga is the one who killed Guntz father, so he is his greatest enemy. Due to plot events, after the battle you won't be able to use Klonoa in the next vision.

8. Who predicts that Klonoa will appear in the Sea of Tears?

From Quiz Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil

Answer: Baguji

He said that Klonoa will appear when the Sea of Tears grows stormy. He was right!

9. With a second controller, this character is a useful aid to Klonoa in Lunatea. Who is it?

From Quiz "Klonoa" Characters

Answer: Popka

While Lolo (or Huepow) is needed to use the ring, Popka can push Klonoa very high up into the air if you have another player (or if you are manipulating the second controller yourself). While an Erbil can let Klonoa jump very high and attack enemies, a second controller is not needed to use an Erbil. The game is possible to beat without Popka, but if you do decide to use him, press the start button on a second, plugged in controller, and use the Square button for Popka to boost Klonoa. Afterwards, Popka will be dizzy and need to 'recharge' before he can boost Klonoa again.

10. How much does it cost to heal at the very last inn that opens in the game?

From Quiz The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero

Answer: 320

Leveling up, staying at inns, and using items are the only ways to regain lost HP in this game. You can get healed for free at Klonoa's house after you are able to enter it again. The first inn you come across charges only 20 of the gold you come across in stages - the last inn you open charges 300 more... but you can always walk back to a cheaper inn at any time.

11. Who is Leorinia's cute sidekick?

From Quiz Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil

Answer: Tat

Tat can become two, one of her being black, and the other white. You have to chase her around for an element in Joilant.

12. Holding the diva hostage, this character plans to turn Phantomile into a permanent nightmare, destroying everything, including himself. Who is it?

From Quiz "Klonoa" Characters

Answer: Ghadius

Joka is only Ghadius' follower, while Ghadius is the mastermind behind trying to destroy Phantomile. Balue builds a tower to reach the diva, Lephise, and you can unlock a bonus level in which Balue has completed his tower and Klonoa needs to get to the top before Balue tries to confess his love to Lephise!

13. What is the second world in "Klonoa: Empire of Dreams"?

From Quiz Klonoa the Dream Traveler

Answer: Priamill

Ghazzaland is the first level, Priamill is the second, Jiobob the third, Santal the fourth. Priamill is themed as an opera house. The last level in the game is the imperial castle, titled Leljimba.

14. By the end of the game, how many elements are there?

From Quiz Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil

Answer: 5

The King of Sorrow will become the 5th element at the end of the game. He doesn't want the world to forget sorrow.

15. A former Priestess-in-training, this character decides that she is going to save Lunatea, even if it means destroying it first. Who is she?

From Quiz "Klonoa" Characters

Answer: Leorina

Leorina almost destroys Volk for a copy of Klonoa's ring, except Klonoa and friends decide to save the city. Lolo is only a Priestess-in-training at the beginning of the game, but becomes a full Priestess at the end of La-Lakoosha. Tat is Leorina's sidekick, but is never a Priestess or Priestess-in-training. Huepow, aside from the fact that he is male (he is a prince, after all), is not even in Lunatea.

16. Which character can side-step?

From Quiz The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero

Answer: Guntz

Guntz can side-step if you tap and hold down the L button lightly (if you tap too hard you will switch characters). This can be used to better your aim with the guns.

17. What is the name of the Klonoa game for the Japanese Wonderswan system?

From Quiz Klonoa the Dream Traveler

Answer: Moonlight Museum

"Klonoa: Moonlight Museum" was the second game released in the series, and is probably the least heard of. It also tends to score the least in reviews but at the same time is known by some people as one of the best Wonderswan games. It is a lot like "Klonoa: Empire of Dreams", and the latter game adopted the former's play style. However, "Klonoa: Moonlight Museum" is much easier. An interesting feature is that it takes advantage of the Wonderswan's ability to play horizontally.

18. The diva of Phantomile, when she sings her song of rebirth, all foreign objects present in Phantomile will disappear. Who is she?

From Quiz "Klonoa" Characters

Answer: Lephise

In order to unlock Balue's tower to Lephise, you must rescue all of the prisoners in Phantomile in every level (6 per level and not found during boss fights). Upon completeing Balue's Tower, you unlock a music player so that you can listen to the music from the game whenever you like!

19. When playing as Klonoa you can double tap the A (or B) button to slightly alter the effect of the attack. What weapon causes you to spin and jump if you double tap the attack button (A or B button)?

From Quiz The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero

Answer: Mace

This is the only way you can jump at all in the game. It doesn't make that much of a difference, though it is helpful when fighting flying moos.

20. What occupation is Leorina?

From Quiz Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil

Answer: A Sky Pirate

She was once a priestess, (or at least in training) but wasn't getting the power that she wanted fast enough and went to go get it herself! She was called Leo then. At one point, she does disguise herself as Baguji in order to steal the elements! Throughout the game, however, she is viewed mostly as a Sky Pirate.

21. The spirit of the ring, this character is necessary for Klonoa's ring to function. This character is also royalty of the moon kingdom. Who is it?

From Quiz "Klonoa" Characters

Answer: Huepow

While Lolo is needed for the ring to function in "Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil", she is never called the ring spirit. She is also not royalty of the moon kingdom. In "Klonoa: Door to Phantomile" and "Klonoa: Empire of Dreams", Huepow is called the ring spirit, and in Phantomile, is revealed to be the moon kingdom's prince. Popka, while possibly living within the ring while Lolo is within the ring, is not necessary for the ring's function. Lephise has no connection with the ring whatsoever.

22. How many forms does the Nahatomb have?

From Quiz The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero

Answer: Three

The first form of the Nahatomb you face when you begin the final battle is kind of an endurance test - you beat down on the boss while he summons various other high level enemies, including enemies that heal him! You need to defeat him as fast as you can, or else he will most likely gradually heal to full health. Then you are drawn in and must fight a form (a heart) that has half blue and half red HP, you need to deplete both HP bars close to the same time, or the depleted bar will heal. The third form is simply a power struggle against a powerful form of the Nahatomb.

23. Crying out for help, this character lives in the fifth kingdom and wants other people to experience the same feelings that he or she does. Who is it?

From Quiz "Klonoa" Characters

Answer: King of Sorrow

At the beginning of "Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil", Klonoa hears someone calling to him for help. Klonoa hears this voice a couple more times, but doesn't know that it is the King of Sorrow until the end of the game. No one else hears the King of Sorrow crying out for help except for Klonoa. After battling the King of Sorrow, Klonoa rings the bell above the battlefield, which produces a pink element (most likely of sorrow). Although Leorina is responsible for causing the fifth kingdom to appear, Leorina doesn't cry out for help or want other people to feel sorrow as she has.

24. What is the name of Pango's son?

From Quiz The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero

Answer: Boris

Pango's motive on the quest is to save his son, Boris, from the sleeping sickness. Pango joins you after the final boss of World 3 although Guntz is gone at the time, so in the next world you only have Klonoa and Pango. The first time you have all three characters at once is in World 5.

25. Klonoa is often referred to as the Dream Traveler. In the Namco game, "Tales of Symphonia", one character can get the "title" of "Dream Traveler". Which character is it?

From Quiz Klonoa the Dream Traveler

Answer: Presea Combatir

"Tales of Symphonia" uses a title system, where you can earn and receive titles from various events or conditions. You can select a title from the status screen, and the chosen title will slightly effect your stats. Some titles change a character's costume when selected. Presea Combatir can get the title "Dream Traveler" if you talk with George in Altamira at a certain point late in the game. If you select this title, she dresses in the same outfit as Klonoa - who is apparently Altamira's new mascot.

26. Capable of swimming through both sea and air, this character, at one time under a possessed Seadoph's control, helps Klonoa reach both the sun and moon kingdoms of Phantomile. Who is it?

From Quiz "Klonoa" Characters

Answer: Pamela

While Karal, Pamela's son, can swim through the sea, he cannot carry Klonoa into the air, like his mother can. Using Seadoph to hit Pamela will eventually release her and Seadoph from Ghadius' spell, at which time she will become a useful ally. Jetimos, which appear in Lunatea, are capable of boosting Klonoa up great heights, but even if they were in Phantomile, they could never get Klonoa to the heights of the sun or moon kingdoms. While Flying Moos fly, they act like normal Moos once Klonoa grabs them with a Wind Bullet.

27. Who was the last character to have their Hero Medal turn silver?

From Quiz The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero

Answer: Klonoa

Pango has a Silver Medal when he first joins you, and Guntz's medal changes after he lets Janga go. Klonoa's medal is the last to change, and he gets the Silver Medal after he wakes up in World 7.

28. How many tracks are there on the unlockable Music Player?

From Quiz The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero

Answer: Thirty-eight

You can unlock the Music Player (Sound Test) by beating the game. It has thirty-eight tracks from the game, and options like repeat, random, and program.

29. In "Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament" what must be done to receive an "S" ranking after you complete a vision?

From Quiz Klonoa the Dream Traveler

Answer: Take no damage, get the Sun Stone, get all dream stones, use no retries

You must do everything perfect to get an "S" rank for a vision. The requirement of taking no damage is probably what makes this task the most challenging. You get the "Dream Gallery" after you get all "S" ranks, which shows all the unlockable pictures.

30. What is the name of the flower Klonoa picks for Lolo at the beginning of the game, and that is used to cure her at the end?

From Quiz The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero

Answer: Hikari Sakura

The Hikari Sakura is known as the "Bloomless Flower", but apparently, if it does bloom there's a chance a fortune will come to a dear person. Much of the storyline of World 1 revolves around Klonoa trying to get back the flower after it is stolen by Guntz.
