The Sign of a (Klonoa) Hero Trivia Quiz

This is my second Klonoa quiz, this time it's on the Japanese-only game "Klonoa Heroes: Legend of the Star Medal" for the Gameboy Advance. It's a unique game in the Namco's Klonoa series as it is an action RPG instead of a platformer. Contains Spoilers!

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which type of weapon can you NOT use in this game?

Answer: Bow and arrow

Klonoa can wield various melee weapons, Guntz can use several types of guns, and Pango uses bombs. You get weapons from chests in levels, or you can buy them at the weapon shops in the World Map.
2. Klonoa can acquire no weapons other than rings in the first world of the game.

Answer: False

A ring is the weapon you first start with, but you can also get swords in the first world. Klonoa has six types of weapons overall.
3. Who's the boss you fight in World 6 of the game?

Answer: Janga

Janga is the boss you fight after the first world where you're on the moon, though you first come across him in the third world. Janga is the one who killed Guntz father, so he is his greatest enemy. Due to plot events, after the battle you won't be able to use Klonoa in the next vision.
4. How much does it cost to heal at the very last inn that opens in the game?

Answer: 320

Leveling up, staying at inns, and using items are the only ways to regain lost HP in this game. You can get healed for free at Klonoa's house after you are able to enter it again. The first inn you come across charges only 20 of the gold you come across in stages - the last inn you open charges 300 more... but you can always walk back to a cheaper inn at any time.
5. You can use an HP restoring item (such as Curry) to save yourself after you already have 0 HP - just after you die and before the screen fades.

Answer: True

Angelic Rings aren't the only way to save yourself... You can use any HP restoring item to regain HP even after you hit 0, and continue playing as normal. You must be fast, as you only have a very limited amount of time in which to use the HP restoring item before you are sent back the World Map. This is an extremely useful trick.
6. Which character can side-step?

Answer: Guntz

Guntz can side-step if you tap and hold down the L button lightly (if you tap too hard you will switch characters). This can be used to better your aim with the guns.
7. When playing as Klonoa you can double tap the A (or B) button to slightly alter the effect of the attack. What weapon causes you to spin and jump if you double tap the attack button (A or B button)?

Answer: Mace

This is the only way you can jump at all in the game. It doesn't make that much of a difference, though it is helpful when fighting flying moos.
8. How many forms does the Nahatomb have?

Answer: Three

The first form of the Nahatomb you face when you begin the final battle is kind of an endurance test - you beat down on the boss while he summons various other high level enemies, including enemies that heal him! You need to defeat him as fast as you can, or else he will most likely gradually heal to full health.

Then you are drawn in and must fight a form (a heart) that has half blue and half red HP, you need to deplete both HP bars close to the same time, or the depleted bar will heal. The third form is simply a power struggle against a powerful form of the Nahatomb.
9. What is the name of Pango's son?

Answer: Boris

Pango's motive on the quest is to save his son, Boris, from the sleeping sickness. Pango joins you after the final boss of World 3 although Guntz is gone at the time, so in the next world you only have Klonoa and Pango. The first time you have all three characters at once is in World 5.
10. Who was the last character to have their Hero Medal turn silver?

Answer: Klonoa

Pango has a Silver Medal when he first joins you, and Guntz's medal changes after he lets Janga go. Klonoa's medal is the last to change, and he gets the Silver Medal after he wakes up in World 7.
11. How many tracks are there on the unlockable Music Player?

Answer: Thirty-eight

You can unlock the Music Player (Sound Test) by beating the game. It has thirty-eight tracks from the game, and options like repeat, random, and program.
12. You can watch the credits again after you beat the game, without having to restart it.

Answer: True

You can watch most of the story scenes at Klonoa's house, after you beat the game; the credits included. Other things to do after you beat the game are leveling up, completing the EX visions, and completing the Monster List. You can also do Time Attack against the game's bosses (which you can actually do at any time in the game after you reach World 2) and collect the dolls you trade for items.
13. What is the name of the flower Klonoa picks for Lolo at the beginning of the game, and that is used to cure her at the end?

Answer: Hikari Sakura

The Hikari Sakura is known as the "Bloomless Flower", but apparently, if it does bloom there's a chance a fortune will come to a dear person. Much of the storyline of World 1 revolves around Klonoa trying to get back the flower after it is stolen by Guntz.
14. You can buy the item "Curry" at the shop in Volk City (World 5).

Answer: False

You can only buy Curry at the shops in World 7. It really comes in handy to buy as much as you can at that point in the game. Before then you can only get Curry out of chests.
15. Which of the following is a true statement about this game?

Answer: You can hurt enemies with an opposite color attack if you are strong enough and their agility is low enough.

You actually can hurt red enemies with a blue attack and vise-versa, but only if you heavily overpower them, therefore you can kill the red moos from the first vision (of World 1) in one hit with a blue attack after you get stronger. But this is rather pointless since the right attack color is always more powerful. Note that Pamela is actually the boss of World 2 (Karal is her child).
