What item do you need to fuel your Arwing?

From Quiz ""Star Fox Adventures": Dinosaur Planet"

Star Fox Trivia Questions

1. Who says "it's looking good, Fox"?

From Quiz
The Original "Starwing" Quiz

Answer: Falco

At the end of each stage, Fox checks in with all his wingmen, and their responses are dependent on how much shield they have remaining. Falco says "it's looking good, Fox" when he his shield is at 75%.

2. Which game has the enemies called the Aparoids?

From Quiz Adventures or Assault

Answer: "Star Fox Assault"

Only a year after the defeat of Andross in "Star Fox Adventures" the Lylat System is now invaded by a new enemy called the Aparoids. These strange creatures walk and sound like robots but look like bugs. At least the Star Fox Team call them bugs. The only way to defeat them once and for all was to destroy the Aparoid Queen on their home planet (which looks like a giant bug itself).

3. Which game has Andross as the final boss?

From Quiz 64 or Command

Answer: "Star Fox 64"

There are actually two endings to this game. Venom 1 on the easy path, or Venom 2 on the hard path. On Venom 1, you fly through the stage until you defeat the rock statue, then you fight Andross. But it is really a robot, and at the ending screen it shows Andross laughing. In Venom 2 however, you fight the improved team of Star Wolf, then fight the real Andross who is nothing more than just a giant brain. This is the true ending to "Star Fox 64", because at the ending screen, it shows The End and when Fox is trying to escape Andross' lair, someone special comes to help him...

4. How do you unlock the bonus arcade game "Xevious"?

From Quiz Star Fox Assault

Answer: Collect silver medals on all missions

The Japanese version supposedly has another arcade game that can be unlocked in addition to "Xevious". For whatever reason, all other versions of the game only have "Xevious" as unlockable. Namco developed "Xevious" as well as this game.

5. Which boss has the dimensions H25 x W22 x D31?

From Quiz The Original "Starwing" Quiz

Answer: Phantron

All four of these bosses appear on Venom, towards the end of the game, Phantron on Course 1, Metal Smasher and Galactic Rider on Course 2, and Great Commander on Course 3. Phantron's first appearance is in Venom's orbit stage, and he then returns in a more formidable form in Venom's surface stage.

6. In which game does a member of Team Star Fox die?

From Quiz Adventures or Assault

Answer: Neither

In "Star Fox Adventures" Falco disappears but doesn't die and he returns at the end of the game to rejoin the team. In "Star Fox Assault" there are a lot of casualties but not a single team member dies. Peppy makes the ultimate sacrifice in order to save the system by blowing up the Great Fox but he and ROB both survive. (Darn) Even members from Team Star Wolf survive. You fight Oikonny in the first chapter but he survives (HOW?) and returns in "Star Fox Command." Same for Pigma. You fight him in the Asteroid Belt but he survives too (Oh just kill them off already) and returns in "Star Fox Command" too. The rest of Star Wolf help Star Fox destroy the Aparoid Homeworld but make it out of the planet safely as well. Let me guess: all of a sudden Andross is alive again huh? Okay I'm done complaining. Even General Pepper almost kicked the bucket. After being turned into an Aparoid in mission 7 he commands you to destroy him, but after you destroy his ship, Peppy comes in out of no where and saves him. But in "Star Fox Command" it was said that Pepper couldn't hold the position of General anymore, and Fox said he was at his death bed, so maybe he did die after all, but it doesn't explain if he died from the Aparoid infection or of old age. All I know is, if he wasn't in "Star Fox Command" then he's dead!

7. Which game has the characters Bill and Katt?

From Quiz 64 or Command

Answer: Both

In "Star Fox 64", Bill can be found on the planet Katina, where you must help him and his army, defeat the army that is in this giant mothership. Katt can be found on the planet Zoness, where you must destroy searchlights and then defeat the weird looking pirate and his ship. In "Star Fox Command", Bill can also be found on Katina as well, while Katt can be found in the Asteroid Belt and in Sector X.

8. How many times do you fight Pigma in the whole game?

From Quiz "Starfox: Command" Missions

Answer: Two times

You fight him twice, he's the last boss for the endings "The Curse of Pigma" and "Pigma's Revenge". He plays much like the easter egg boss from "Starfox".

9. How many S-Flags can you find in every mission?

From Quiz Star Fox Assault

Answer: Five

It is very difficult to find all five. Each mission includes various places that it could be hidden. Some levels have S-Flags in enemies. Others have S-Flags inside or on top of objects.

10. There are two stages in which it is possible to loop infinitely, thereby enabling one to power up one's weapons to the maximum. The Black Hole is one such stage; what is the other?

From Quiz The Original "Starwing" Quiz

Answer: Titania

The Black Hole has three exits: Sector Y, Sector Z and Venom. If Fox does not take the third exit, the stage loops back to the approach to the first exit, meaning he can pick up the twin blasters again. At the beginning of Titania, Fox approaches three doors. To progress in the stage, he needs to take the Weather Control behind the right-hand door. However, there are twin blasters behind the middle door, and should he go that way, the stage loops back to the approach to the three doors, and the twin blasters are once again available for collection. It is also possible to loop infinitely in the Space Armada. This is accomplished by not flying into the two huge spaceships that appear at 33% and 66% distance into the stage. However, endlessly powering up is not possible here, as the twin blasters are at the very beginning of the stage, and thus do not feature in the loops.

11. In which game do you have a dinosaur as a sidekick?

From Quiz Adventures or Assault

Answer: "Star Fox Adventures"

And an annoying sidekick at that. He's a Earthwalker (as they call them) and his name his Tricky. He may be annoying but without him you couldn't progress through the game. To me he is more like a pet then a sidekick. He follows you around everywhere, you need to feed him in order for him to do certain things, and you can even play fetch with him. You meet Tricky in "Star Fox Assault" again. He may be grown up in this game but he still acts like a little brat.

12. In which game can you play other characters besides Fox (in campaign)?

From Quiz 64 or Command

Answer: "Star Fox Command"

Yes, for the first time in Star Fox history, you can play other characters besides Fox. All of the other characters that you can control are: Krystal, Falco, Slippy, Dash (Andross' Grandson), Wolf, Leon, Panther, Bill, Lucy (Peppy's Granddaughter), Amanda (Slippy's Fiance), Katt, Peppy, and even Fox's Father, James McCloud. That is a lot of characters. Whew!

13. Who does Fox team up with to defeat the "Solar Satellite"?

From Quiz "Starfox: Command" Missions

Answer: Wolf & Falco

You fight the "Solar Satellite" with Falco & Wolf. While Wolf doesn't want to fight along with Falco, they forget their past for this one fight.

14. What other company, in addition to Nintendo, developed this game?

From Quiz Star Fox Assault

Answer: Namco

Namco and Nintendo have developed a lot of games together, including the "Donkey Konga" series. One of their best works together was "Pac-Man Vs." exclusively for Nintendo Gamecube.

15. How many legs does Dancing Insector have?

From Quiz The Original "Starwing" Quiz

Answer: Five

Despite the name, Dancing Insector has five legs, not six. At the start of the battle, three of his legs need to be weakened to make him collapse and start spinning. This process is then repeated, after which he turns red and becomes vulnerable.

16. Which game has the planet Sauria?

From Quiz Adventures or Assault

Answer: Both

"Star Fox Adventures" takes place on Sauria in the whole game, except in this game the planet was called Dinosaur Planet. It wasn't until "Star Fox Assault" that it was renamed Sauria. In "Assault" Aparoids have taken over the planet and you must save the planet once again. This mission is called Reunion just like the mission on Katina in "Star Fox 64". Except you don't reunite with Fox's friend Bill, instead you reunite with Tricky. (Yay, Bleach!)

17. Which game has the character, Tricky?

From Quiz 64 or Command

Answer: Neither

Tricky does not get introduced until after "Star Fox 64". He was first introduced in "Star Fox Adventures" on the Dinosaur Planet called Sauria. Since Sauria is not in "Star Fox Command" he does not make an appearance.

18. In addition to the four characters already available in Versus Mode, how many more can you unlock?

From Quiz Star Fox Assault

Answer: Two

You can unlock Peppy and Wolf as characters. Fox, Falco, Slippy and Krystal are already playable.

19. Which game has the villain General Scales?

From Quiz Adventures or Assault

Answer: "Star Fox Adventures"

You first meet this guy at the beginning of the game as Krystal, and you find out more about him from the Queen Earthwalker as Fox. It turns out he is the cause of the planet falling apart. He took the four Spellstones that help keep the planet together and now you must find the Spellstones and return them to the Force Point Temples. As Fox you finally meet him at the Cloudrunner Fortress, but he escapes and you don't meet him again until the end of the game. The bad news is you don't even get to fight him, the thing is he is not even the main villain in the game, instead you fight Andross again. (Figures)

20. Which game has the enemies called the Anglars?

From Quiz 64 or Command

Answer: "Star Fox Command"

Venom was supposed to be a deserted wasteland after Andross was defeated. However, a new enemy had emerged from the depths of the Venom sea where it was to be said that no one or nothing could survive in. With this new enemy called the Anglars (because the leader looks like an Anglar Fish) spreading throughout the Lylat System, Team Star Fox had an all new adventure.

21. What happens if you kill all the enemies in a battle?

From Quiz "Starfox: Command" Missions

Answer: You get a missle

If you get everything in the level, you can get up to 50 seconds of time, or five life-ups. It depends on your situation.

22. How many Versus Mode levels (including all unlockable levels) are there?

From Quiz Star Fox Assault

Answer: Sixteen

There are eleven levels, many of them needed to be unlocked, plus five Simple Map levels. Two of the Simple Map levels need to be unlocked. You have to play Versus Mode hundreds of times to unlock everything.

23. In which game do you have a different wingmate?

From Quiz Adventures or Assault

Answer: "Star Fox Assault"

Peppy decided to give up flying in the Arwing and instead remain on the Great Fox with ROB. This means you have a new wingmate flying beside you: Krystal. You save her in "Star Fox Adventures" and she decides to stay with the team. Whether the team wanted her for her good flying skills I think she stayed because of Fox. (Ahh, love at first site) Yeah... anyway along with Krystal, you still fly with Falco and Slippy, while Peppy and ROB give you special information and help guide you along the missions.

24. Which game has the vehicle, the Landmaster?

From Quiz 64 or Command

Answer: "Star Fox 64"

On the planets Titania and Macbeth, you get to be Fox in the Landmaster. The Landmaster is a type of tank. It has a powerful gun, high boost control, and even the ability to roll and hover. In Command, you control all sorts of flying ships, depending on what character you are, but no Landmaster.

25. How many possible songs can you hear during the mission briefings before most of the missions?

From Quiz Star Fox Assault

Answer: Two

The first of the two tunes is the Training level from "Star Fox 64". The second tune is from the Lylat System Map from "Star Fox 64".

26. Which game is for the Nintendo Gamecube?

From Quiz Adventures or Assault

Answer: Both

"Star Fox Adventures" was the first to come to the Gamecube in 2002. "Star Fox Assault followed a little later and came out for the Gamecube in 2005. Both games are rated Teen manly for Violence, but to me there isn't that much violence in the games. "Adventures" was the sequel to "Star Fox 64" and "Assault" was the sequel to "Adventures." Even though they are both Star Fox games they are very different. "Adventures" is more like an Adventure game (Go Figure) and it is only a one-player game. It takes longer to complete and you play on foot more than you fly in an Arwing. A lot of people say it is almost like a Zelda game, but I don't play much of Zelda so I wouldn't know. "Assault is more like "Star Fox 64." You fight in an Arwing, a Landmaster, and on foot. There is a story mode for one-players only, and also multiplayer modes as well. But instead of choosing your next destination in story mode, there are only ten missions and only one ending. But both are great games to have if you have a Gamecube and a Star Fox fan (like me!)

27. In which game can you find some of Andross' bioweapons?

From Quiz 64 or Command

Answer: Both

In "Star Fox 64", no matter what path you take, you will always run into a bioweapon. The bioweapons for this game are a giant clam in Aquas, a rock lava creature in Solar, and a robot in Sector X. In "Star Fox Command", the bioweapons are all found on the planet Titania. The bioweapons can be The Worm, The Monarch Dodra, The Grunner, or The Killer Bee.

28. In what mission does Starwolf's team clear the price on their forehead?

From Quiz "Starfox: Command" Missions

Answer: Star Wolf Returns!

This ending actually ties up with ending 9, "Pigma's Curse"; In the way that Falco & Fox lose their fame and the Starwolf team becomes the heroes.

29. In the game's opening sequence, who is labeled as the "Ace Pilot" for Team Starfox?

From Quiz Star Fox Assault

Answer: Falco

Fox is labeled as the "Leader", Slippy is labeled as the "Mechanic" and Krystal is labeled as the "Telepath". Falco is the second one featured during the opening.

30. At the beginning of which stage does Peppy say "incoming enemy craft"?

From Quiz The Original "Starwing" Quiz

Answer: Asteroid Belt (Course 3)

Regardless of the course chosen, Stage 2 always begins with a comment from a wingman. On Courses 1 and 2, Falco says "here they come"; on Course 3, Peppy says "incoming enemy craft". Interestingly, the start of Sector Z is very similar to that of the Asteroid Belt (Course 3), but no comment is made.
