Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How do you unlock the bonus arcade game "Xevious"?

Answer: Collect silver medals on all missions

The Japanese version supposedly has another arcade game that can be unlocked in addition to "Xevious". For whatever reason, all other versions of the game only have "Xevious" as unlockable. Namco developed "Xevious" as well as this game.
2. How many S-Flags can you find in every mission?

Answer: Five

It is very difficult to find all five. Each mission includes various places that it could be hidden. Some levels have S-Flags in enemies. Others have S-Flags inside or on top of objects.
3. What other company, in addition to Nintendo, developed this game?

Answer: Namco

Namco and Nintendo have developed a lot of games together, including the "Donkey Konga" series. One of their best works together was "Pac-Man Vs." exclusively for Nintendo Gamecube.
4. In addition to the four characters already available in Versus Mode, how many more can you unlock?

Answer: Two

You can unlock Peppy and Wolf as characters. Fox, Falco, Slippy and Krystal are already playable.
5. How many Versus Mode levels (including all unlockable levels) are there?

Answer: Sixteen

There are eleven levels, many of them needed to be unlocked, plus five Simple Map levels. Two of the Simple Map levels need to be unlocked. You have to play Versus Mode hundreds of times to unlock everything.
6. How many possible songs can you hear during the mission briefings before most of the missions?

Answer: Two

The first of the two tunes is the Training level from "Star Fox 64". The second tune is from the Lylat System Map from "Star Fox 64".
7. In the game's opening sequence, who is labeled as the "Ace Pilot" for Team Starfox?

Answer: Falco

Fox is labeled as the "Leader", Slippy is labeled as the "Mechanic" and Krystal is labeled as the "Telepath". Falco is the second one featured during the opening.
8. On one save file, how many users can be registered?

Answer: Twenty-one

Twenty-one users? Most games don't even have four. That's quite an impressive number. The users can be used for both Versus and for the main one-player mode.
9. Which character says the line "I never thought I'd be fighting all of you"?

Answer: General Pepper

This is uttered by General Pepper during Corneria as the final boss in that level. This is somewhat ironic, considering he is being controlled by the Aparoids and has no control during this fight.
10. What orchestra performed the music for this game?

Answer: Tokyo New City

You had to pay close attention to the credits to notice this. Every song in the main game is orchestrated, which sounds amazing.
11. In "Fortuna: A New Enemy", how many weak spots does the final boss (Aparoid) have until its head is revealed as a weak spot?

Answer: Eight

The eight spots all take only a couple of hits to destroy. That is of course assuming you have a powerful laser by the time you reach this boss.
12. In "Katina: Frontier Base Battle", how many hatchers appear in total if you play on Gold difficulty?

Answer: Sixteen

There's one more in addiiton to the fifteen that appear at first. The last one is added so that you head toward the upcoming boss.
13. How many Transfer Devices do you have to destroy in "Sargasso Space Zone: Hostilities Revisited" before Star Wolf appears on Gold difficulty?

Answer: Nine

Less Transfer Devices appear on other difficulties. The developers added a few more for each level, as you progress. This makes each level a bit more harder than the other and requires a little more thought.
14. In "Fichina: Enter the Storm", how many towers do you have to destroy to gain access to the control center on any difficulty?

Answer: Three

These towers are easy to spot, but are heavily guarded by enemies. The amount of towers does not change with difficulty.
15. In order to get a Gold Level Badge in "Asteroid Belt: The Aparoid Menace", how many points do you need?

Answer: 2100

There are many points to be found in this level, so earning 2100 is not too demanding. Plus, points accumulated are tripled on Gold difficulty (doubled if played on Silver difficulty), giving more incentive to play on higher difficulties.
16. In "Sauria: Reunion", what character from "Star Fox Adventures" do you meet up with when you complete the mission on Story Mode?

Answer: Prince Tricky

Prince Tricky is the dinosaur who you met back in "Star Fox Adventures". He is Fox's sidekick in that game. This game's cutscene reveals that he has most certainly aged a little bit.
17. In "Corneria: War Comes Home", which of these is not something you can read somewhere in the level?

Answer: The End of Fortuna

Corneria has so many banners to read! You could probably find about twenty different ones that all show how Corneria City is the main city in all the Lylat System. The wrong answer, "The End of Fortuna" is interesting because there is a banner advertising a movie called "The End of Katina" and another banner that says "Come to Fortuna!"
18. "Orbital Gate: Incoming" pays homage to what "Star Fox 64" level?

Answer: Sector Z

In "Sector Z" from "Star Fox 64", you have to protect the Great Fox from several missiles. Similarly, in "Orbital Gate: Incoming" you have to protect the station from several misisles. Both levels also begin with a minute or so of simply shooting enemies.
19. In "Aparoid Homeworld: Breaching the Defenses", how many hatchers must you destroy under the base after you've destroyed all the ones on ground on any difficulty?

Answer: Six

No matter what difficulty, there are always six under the base. This is because during the main portion of the level, the amount of hatchers can change due to difficulty. This can make the level last upwards of thirty minutes.
20. In "Homeworld Core: The Final Battle", how many forms of the final boss are there (as in, how many times its health guage goes back to full when it changes forms)?

Answer: Three

Some people may think there are two forms, because there are only two areas that you visit. In the second area, there are two forms. Therefore, there are three forms of the Aparoid Queen. As not to give away the answer to any other question, I didn't note that the final boss is the Aparoid Queen.
