"Rock Band 2", because it utilizes four different instruments, has many different achievements for Vocals, Drums, Guitar, and Bass. 'Overdrive Overdose' is one of the few that applies to all four instruments at once. When each instrument lets off Overdrive, each one contributes a 2x multiplier to the overall score for the duration of the bonus. Letting off all four lets off an 8x multiplier. Using Overdrive for ninety seconds gives you the 'Bachman-Turner Award', a clear nod to the band Bachman-Turner Overdrive. 'Solid Gold, Baby!' is achieved for a single gold starred song and 'Million Point Club' is given for a million points in one song. The 'Overdrive Overdose' achievement gives 25 Gamerpoints, just like the other three achievements noted.

"Halo 3" is a very popular first-person shooter. In the campaign mode, the Master Chief is involved in a last-ditch effort to stop the Covenant from finding the Arc. In multiplayer, players can play a variety of different gametypes ranging from Slayer to Capture the Flag. Players are also able to make their own map types via the Forge gametype. There is also a Theater mode for players who wish to relive past glory or view game film from ranked games to learn their mistakes.

"Portal", released on the Xbox 360 as part of Valve's "Half-Life 2: Orange Box" collection, was one of the most critically-lauded games of 2007. Although quite short, the game was highly praised for its tongue-in-cheek dark humour, its highly-innovative puzzle mechanics, and the many quotes and features talked about for years after its initial release. The Weighted Companion Cube, a device found in later levels of the game, is noticeable because of a heart on each of its six sides. Players will need to kill their beloved friend and partner in a fiery euthanized manner, and because of this the 'Fratricide' achievement is a given if you beat the game. After the end credits, players will discover that the Cube is alive and well and that the much-sought-after cake is, in fact, not a lie. 'Fratricide' will result in a mere 5 Gamerpoints.

"Gears of War" is a third-person shooter, where the camera is positioned behind the player for the duration of the game. The campaign focuses on the squad of Fenix, who are trying to recover the Resonator so they can defeat the Locust. The multiplayer allows players to play as either the COG (humans) or the Locust.

"Castle Crashers", solely on the XBLA, is one of the more popular titles to make an appearance in terms of downloaded games. The game, which supports up to four players at once, is a fun hack-and-slash side-scroller in which the player character(s) must save four princesses who have been captured by various wizards. To do this, they need to cross various different terrains, enter castles and fortresses, and even fight alien hominids in space. Coincidentally the game company responsible, The Behemoth, also created "Alien Hominid" for the Gamecube and Playstation 2; this later appeared on XBLA. 'Traditional' simply means you've completed the game, saving all four princesses on any of the many characters available to play. It contributed 20 Gamerpoints to your account.

"Crackdown" is a free roaming game where you play as the secret agent trying to clean up the Los Muertos, the Volk, and the Shai-Gen Corporation. Players can raise their skills use, and overtime can become extremely powerful. The game is single player, as well as having online co-op play.

Hacking is a relatively major part of the gameplay found in 2KGames' "BioShock", released in 2007 for the Xbox 360. In order to hack into many of the electronic items in the game (such as video cameras), the player must complete a small minigame in a certain allotted time in order to finish the task. This mostly concerns laying pipes to facilitate the flow of water. Along the course of the game, players can also find upgrades to their hacking ability which will allow for greater success or more ease in the eventually mechanical process later in the game. 'Skilled Hacker' equates to fifty successful hackings and it results in 40 Gamerpoints. Similar achievements are gained from hacking specific items (ie. vending machines or turrets). The player will earn 5 Gamerpoints for hacking their first item in the game.

"Burnout Paradise" is an arcade style racing game that takes place within Paradise City. The player must go from starting out with a learner's permit, all the way up to a Burnout Elite license by winning events. The events range from races, marked man, road rage, and many more. The player can also gain new cars in many ways, such us getting to the next license class, or taking down other cars throughout the city.

Achieving this- erm...achievement- simply means that you ended up completing your G.O.A.T. examination before departing from Vault 101 in the beginning of the game. By doing this, you've collected the stats you need to begin the game and commence leveling up. Another achievement is given to players who receive their Pip-Boy 3000. This is known as the 'Vault 101 Citizenship Award'. 'The G.O.A.T. Whisperer' awards the player with 10 Gamerpoints and is pretty much mandatory for completion. Of course, they don't really matter for players since you can reconfigure your stats before leaving the vault, but some of the scenarios are kind of funny.

"Rock Band 2" has many exciting features. Players can create their own customizable characters and create their own band. Players may also choose to play single player or online with other players via Xbox Live. Gameplay choices include World Tour, where bands travel worldwide to earn fans and money to buy objects from the shop for their character, Challenge mode, where the band performs in setlists ranging from warm up difficulty to impossible, and Battle of the Bands, which allows bands to play against one another in a leaderboard fashion.

There is also a versus mode, where the humans go up against the human-controlled infected.

In order to claim this achievement, you must have thrown one of the few Rotten Eggs found in the game at the face of any Majini enemy found in the villages and settings of "Resident Evil 5's" 'Kijiji'. Many different eggs can be found all over the game though players may wish to eat these to claim the 'Egg Hunt' achievement instead. Both achievements will reward the player with 15 Gamerpoints though you get the same amount of points for beating each portion of the game on any difficulty. Players really trying for points may wish to try and get 70 by completing the game on Professional Mode or by using their knife to deflect arrows in the 'Be The Knife' achievement (for 60 Gamerpoints).

"Civilization Revolution" is a strategy game where players must advance their civilization over the others by either Domination, where a player captures all of the other civilization's capitals or Technology, being the first civilization to colonize Alpha Centauri. Players may also win by Economic, by building up 20,000 gold in their treasury and building the world bank, or Cultural victory, where the player gains twenty great people, wonders, or culturally flipped cities. There is also an online mode where players may play against one another.
