Answer: Porky Pig

Porky Pig is the stuttering character from Looney Tunes, with the infamous words, "Th th th that's all, folks!" He was created by Friz Freleng for Warner Brothers. Porky Pig first appeared in 1935. Porky had a girlfriend called Petunia. Porky was part of many Warner Brothers' cartoons along with Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam and more.

Answer: Magilla Gorilla

Hanna-Barbera created Magilla Gorilla on January 14, 1964. Magilla sported a pair of shorts held up by suspenders. He wore a brown hat and shirt collar. If you remember, Magilla lived in the display window of Mr. Peebles' pet store. Magilla would get purchased, only to be returned to the pet shop later on.

There was a little girl named Ogee, who seemed to be the only one who wanted to own Magilla.

Answer: Popeye the Sailorman

Elzie Crisler Segar created Popeye way back in 1929. The first comic strip with Popeye in it was called the "Thimble Theater". Popeye became the star in a very quick amount of time. After Segar's death in 1938 the saga of Popeye continued with the work of several artists and writers which included Bud Sagendorf, Hy Eisman and misters Max and David Fleischer to name a few.

Popeye is the super strong spinach-eating sailor who is always rescuing Olive Oyl from Bluto and Brutus. Popeye had run ins with Sea Hag also. Poopdeck Pappy was Popeye's old unshaven father. Swee'Pea was Popeye's adopted son, who was left on Popeye's doorstep.

Answer: Jiminy Cricket

Jiminy Cricket, a likable little cricket, made his first appearance in the movie "Pinocchio", created by Walt Disney. He was always dressed to the nines, often with a top hat and tails. Jiminy carried his umbrella with him most of the time. As you may remember, Jiminy was actually Pinocchio's conscience. Did you know that Cliff Edwards was the voice of Jiminy Cricket? Jiminy later appeared in Christmas specials and other animations done by Walt Disney Studios.

Answer: Barney Rubble

Barney Rubble is the sweet, optimistic neighbor of the ever scheming Fred Flintstone, on the cartoon series, "The Flintstones". He was blond haired, wearing a brown outfit. Barney was married to a pleasant wife named Betty, and later they adopted a super strong boy named Bam-Bam. Hanna-Barbera were the creators of The Flintstones. 1960 was the year that "The Flintstones" first debuted on television.

Answer: Hercules

Hercules was a crudely drawn animated series that first appeared in 1963. He sported a blue toga, a magic ring and a thick belt. Hercules was always having to rescue Helena, his girlfriend from such villains as Otis the Chameleon, Willamene the Sea Witch and Daedalus the Evil Wizard (with his pet cat Dydo).

Hercules had a sidekick centaur named Newton. Trans-Lux Television Productions produced the Hercules cartoon series.
7. Hock eel bleary hand

Answer: Huckleberry Hound

William Hanna and Joseph Barbera created the funny and charming Huckleberry Hound cartoon, "made-for-TV", series. Huckleberry Hound was known for his southern drawl and for being a turquoise dog. One of his favorite songs to hum and/or sing was "Clementine". "Huck" was always easy going and patient.

It didn't matter what type of jam he was in, he always managed to get out of it. Huckleberry Hound made its first appearance on October 2, 1958.

Answer: Deputy Dawg

Terrytoons produced the loveable Deputy Dawg cartoons which first appeared in 1960. Did you know that Deputy Dawg is the favorite cartoon character of actor/star Jim Carrey? Deputy Dawg was drawn by Ralph Bakshi. As a deputy sheriff working in the Mississippi bayous of the USA, Deputy Dawg won the hearts of many cartoon fanciers. Dayton Allen was the voice of Deputy Dawg.

Other characters in the cartoon included the Sheriff, Mrs. Deputy, Muskie Muskrat, Moley Mole, Vincent van Gopher and Ty Coon, just to name a few.

The jailhouse was very often the focus of where the cartoons played out.
9. Cheap in deal

Answer: Chip 'n' Dale

I imagine most people know the rascally little chipmunks known as Chip and Dale. Walt Disney created these little characters who first appeared in 1943 in a Pluto cartoon called "Private Pluto". They were named Chip and Dale only after they appeared more often in other cartoons. Chip 'n' Dale were annoyances to hot-headed Donald Duck. Chip 'n' Dale even received their own cartoon series called "Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers" which first aired in 1989.

Answer: Lucy Van Pelt

Charles M. Schultz created the comic strip "Peanuts" in 1950. It became animated in 1957. In 1965 Lee Mendelson and Bell Melendez, both producers, delivered "A Charlie Brown Christmas". Lucy Van Pelt is the annoying sister of Charlie Brown's best friend Linus. Lucy was often depicted at her psychiatrist stand, charging five cents per visit.

She did things like pulling the football away, just as Charlie Brown was about to kick the ball. Lucy was a brunette who was labeled as a "fussbudget".
