Answer: Marianne Faithfull

I am Marianne Faithfull and was only eighteen years old when my first two albums "Come My Way" and "Marianne Faithfull" were both well received in the UK, and the self-titled album reached number twelve on the US charts. I released a great number of albums over the years.

After my "Give My Love To London" album in 2014, I started a twelve month fiftieth anniversary tour. My most recognized acting performance came in 2007 when the European Film Academy nominated me for my role as Maggie in "Irina Palm" but was beaten by Helen Mirren for "The Queen".

Answer: Johnny Crawford

Hi! I'm Johnny Crawford and I first made an appearance on TV as a Mouseketeer in the Mickey Mouse Club's first year in 1955 and became better known as Mark McCain alongside Chuck Connors' Lucas McCain in the western series "The Rifleman" which premiered in 1958 when I was twelve years old. Answer: Jimmy Buffett

Hello, my name is Jimmy Buffett and I am best known for country and folk music with a helping of what has been categorized as "drunken Caribbean rock'n'roll" My best efforts on the Billboard singles charts with the aforementioned songs "Come Monday", "Margaritaville", "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise".

However I have managed eleven Top Ten US country albums since 1970 with two of these being "latter day" number ones in 2004 and 2006 with "License to Chill" and "Take The Weather With You".

In honor of two of the best selling singles, I have named my restaurant chains "Margaritaville Cafes" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise". My fans have earned the title "Parrot Heads" because of a growing number wearing parrot hats. Nowadays there are 239 Parrothead chapters in the US and they have earned a reputation as fine charity workers for many different causes.
5. I arrived on 6th March 1947 in Bradford, Yorkshire and have discovered that I've got the music in me and will stay in this happy place as long as Reginald Dwight don't go breaking my heart.

Answer: Kiki Dee

Yes, I'm Kiki Dee (born Pauline Matthews) and my only number one single was "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" in 1976 with Elton John (born Reginald Dwight), which topped the charts in the UK, US, Australia, and at least three other countries. And I nearly made top spot again in 1993 in another duet with Elton singing the old Cole Porter classic "True Love" which got to number two in the UK charts. My other top twenty hits all came in the late seventies and early eighties with "Amoureuse", "I've Got The Music In Me", "Loving And Free" and "Star". My self titled album was the most successful in reaching number twenty-four in 1977.
6. I first appeared on 22nd July 1947 in Gilmer, Texas, and Patty Smyth told me that sometimes love just ain't enough and all she wants to do is dance with the boys of summer; and I can do my own dirty laundry.

Answer: Don Henley

You have probably guessed by now that I am Don Henley and when going solo after the initial breakup of The Eagles I had quite a deal of success, particularly on the US Mainstream charts with four number one hit singles. Those being "All She Wants To Do Is Dance", "Boys Of Summer", "Dirty Laundry" and "The End Of The Innocence", and a great duo with Patty Smyth produced "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" which labored for six weeks in second spot on the Billboard charts behind "End Of The Road" by Boys11Men.
7. I was born in Brixton, London on 8th January 1947, and didn't experience a lot of sorrow leading up to my fame in the golden years when I became a starman, but I departed the scene for a life on Mars, and it became a case of ashes to ashes.

Answer: David Bowie

You would have guessed that I am David Bowie (born David Jones) and have departed this earth after a very busy musical career which, over forty years, earned me five number one singles and twenty four top tens on the UK charts. My eighty five albums also brought me a lot of success worldwide.

The 1983 single "Let's Dance" was my most successful release and topped the charts in seven countries including the UK and US. My first ever top five hit "Space Oddity" won me the Ivor Novello Award for songwriting and composing in 1969.

The song was re-released as a maxi single in 1975 and achieved the number one place in the UK.
8. My initial appearance came on 4th March 1948 in Ely Cardiff Wales and I once said to my sweetheart, "oh Julie, you drive me crazy and you are a love worth waiting for so we should get married and live in this ol' house".

Answer: Shakin' Stevens

Hello, I'm Michael Barratt, but you know me as Shakin' Stevens, and after a fruitless musical career in the 1970s, I was able to revive some old favorites in 1981 and turn my career around almost overnight. The Rosemary Clooney 1954 number one song on the US charts "This Ole House" was first, and my cover version went to the top of the UK charts for three weeks and also aced the Australian, Irish and Swedish lists.

Then, my take on the Jim Lowe 1956 smash "Green Door" spent four weeks at the top in the UK, as did the 1958 number five billboard hit "Oh Julie" by The Crescendos also got there for one week. Those three songs also topped the Irish lists along with "You Drive Me Crazy" which also went number one in Australia.

It seems that my music was only accepted in Europe and Australasia as it never came to the attention of the Billboard statistician.
9. I was born in Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, on 21st May 1947, and when I need you more than I can say, you should understand that even though you make me feel like dancing. I'm a one-man band and the show must go on.

Answer: Leo Sayer

My birth name is Gerard Hugh Sayer but you know me as Leo Sayer, and back in the 1970s I had great success in breaking into the UK record charts with nine of my first eleven releases make it into the top ten.{ironically one of the "failures" "Thunder in My Heart" that only peaked at number twenty-two, was remixed by Meck in 20006, and went to the top). My fifth and sixth songs, "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" and "When I Need You" both peaked at number one, with the latter named song being my only top hit in the UK. My first seven albums performed extremely well and were almost mirrored along the way in Australia, and culminated with "The Best Of" album topping the list in both countries, and also in New Zealand.
10. I was born on the 12th day of March in Boston, Massachusetts and over the years I have learnt how sweet it is to know that you've got a friend who is a handyman and will go through fire and rain for you.

Answer: James Taylor

Hello, I'm James Taylor and my big break in the record industry came in early 1970 with my number three ranked album "Sweet Baby James" which primarily contained my own compositions and included what was to become my signature song "Fire And Rain" which also peaked at number three on the Billboard singles charts.

The second album named "Mud Slide Slim" reached number two on the US charts and included the Carole King classic "You've Got A Friend" which went on to be my only number one single on the Billboard charts.

After a host of top ten albums I finally got to number one on the US album charts with a collection of my own songs "Before This World" in 2015.
