M*A*S*H ran from 1972 to 1983 with the final episode being the most watched television episode in U.S television history with over 105 million viewers. As well as being an actor, Alda is also an author, screenwriter, director and in recent times, a podcast host. He was inducted into The Television Hall of Fame in 1994.
