Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Herschel Walker were both born in 1962.

Joyner-Kersee was an American runner. She competed in the heptathlon and the women's long jump. She won three gold, one silver, and two bronze Olympic medals, in those two different events. "Sports Illustrated for Women" voted Joyner-Kersee the Greatest Female Athlete of the 20th century.

Herschel Walker (March 3, 1962) is a retired American football player who played from 1983 - 1997. He was a running back who played for four different teams. In 1992 Walker competed in the Olympics, held in Albertville, France. He competed in the Two Man Bobsled, finishing seventh.

Mark Andrew Spitz (February 10, 1950) is a retired American swimmer. Between 1968 and 1972, Spitz won nine Olympic gold medals, one silver, and one bronze.

Nadia Elena Comaneci (November 12, 1961) is a Romanian gymnast. She won five Olympic gold medals. Comaneci is first gymnast ever to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in an Olympic gymnastic event.

Johnny Weissmuller (June 2, 1904 - January 20, 1984) was an American swimmer and actor. Weissmuller won five Olympic gold medals and one bronze medal. After his swimming career, portrayed Tarzan in twelve films, a role he played in twelve motion pictures. Many other actors have also played Tarzan, but Weissmuller is by far the best known.

Esther Jane Williams (August 8, 1921) was an American competitive swimmer and diver and movie star. Williams' movies were musicals that featured elaborate performances with swimming and diving. Williams was not an Olympic participant, she was really added to the list, because she fit.

Michael Fred Phelps (June 30, 1985) is an American swimmer. He has won 14 career Olympic gold medals. Phelps holds the record for the most gold medals won at a single Olympics with the eight golds he won at the 2008 Olympic Games.

Usain Bolt (August 21,1986) is a Jamaican sprinter. Bolt holds the Olympic and world records for the 100 meters at 9.69 seconds, the 200 meters at 19.30 seconds and, with his teammates, the 4x100 meters relay at 37.10 seconds, all set at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Leonard Simon Nimoy (March 26, 1931) is an actor, best known for playing the character of Mister Spock on "Star Trek" and in several movie sequels.

William Alan Shatner (March 22, 1931) became well known for playing Captain James Tiberius Kirk, captain of the starship USS Enterprise, in the television series "Star Trek".

The television series ran for three seasons from 1966 to 1969, and lives forever in syndication and it's MANY spinoffs.

Jean Harlow (March 3, 1911 - June 7, 1937) was an American actress in the 1930s. She was a 'sex symbol' and known as the 'Platinum Blonde' and the 'Blonde Bombshell' due to her platinum blonde hair. Harlow starred in several films designed to show off her sex appeal and strong screen presence. Later in her brief career she graduated to meatier roles. Her personal life was marred by disappointment, tragedy, illness and finally her sudden death from renal failure at age 26. Harlow's more well known movies included; "Dinner at Eight" (1933), "Bombshell" (1933), "China Seas" (1935), "Libeled Lady" (1936) and "Saratoga" (1937).

Harlow is entombed at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Glendale, California.

She was buried in the negligee that she had worn just weeks before while filming a scene from the movie "Saratoga".

Alexander Graham Bell (March 3, 1847 - August 2, 1922) was an inventor who is credited with the invention of the telephone. His earlier work involved elocution and speech. He experimented with hearing devices that eventually turned into the telephone in 1876. Bell later turned his inventive efforts to hydrofoils and aeronautics. Bell became one of the founding members of the National Geographic Society, in 1888.

John Loudon McAdam (September 21, 1756 - November 26, 1836) was a Scottish engineer and road-builder. He invented a process for building roads with a smooth hard surface. Prior to his process roads were mostly just dirt. Modern road construction still utilizes some of McAdam's process.

On May 12, 2007, Faustino was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and disorderly intoxication in Florida. The charges were dropped when the authorities were unable to produce a witness that could identify Faustino.

Jean Ann Kennedy Smith (February 20, 1928) is Jackie's Sister-in-Law. She was married to Stephen Edward Smith (September 24, 1927-August 19, 1990). She later served as the U.S. ambassador to Ireland.
