Lowe played Sam Seaborn on "The West Wing". Lowe was in "St. Elmo's Fire", "The Outsiders" and "About Last Night" among other movies, in the 1980's. Rob Lowe got into trouble in 1988 for videotaping sex with a minor.

He was involved in some TV movies, including: The Elephant Man," "Edith Wharton: Looking Back," and "The Room Upstairs,". Please send me a note if you know any differently. Gamemaster1967 sent me a note that McCarthy was involved in a TV series called "Georgetown" in 2002, but was unsure if it ever aired.
