Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'Xena: Warrior Princess' and 'Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman'

Answer: Bruce Campbell

Bruce played the popular characters of Autolycus, the King of Thieves on 'Xena...', and Bill Church Jr. on 'Lois and Clark'.
2. 'Lois and Clark ...' and 'The West Wing'

Answer: Emily Proctor

Emily played Lana Lang, the alternate-Clark's fiance in the 'Lois and Clark...' episode 'Tempus, Anyone?', and plays reoccuring character Ainsley Hayes, the assistant associate White House counsel Sam calls 'the leggy blonde republican' on The West Wing.' Incidently, 'West Wing' star John Spencer (WW's Leo McGarry) also guested on 'L and C' as bad guy Mister Gadget.
3. 'The West Wing' and 'Deep Impact'

Answer: Richard Schiff

Richard plays Communications Director Toby Ziegler on 'The West Wing', and played Leo Biederman's father in 'Deep Impact'.
4. 'Deep Impact' and 'ER'

Answer: James Cromwell

James played Senator Rittenhouse in 'Deep Impact', and has appeared in the reoccuring role of Bishop Stewart on 'ER'. And yes, Laura Innes also appears in both (Carrie Weaver on 'ER', reporter Beth Stanley in 'Deep Impact').
5. 'ER' (1994 series) and 'E-R' (1984 series)

Answer: George Clooney

I suspect for Clooney fans this one's a no-brainer, but for the rest of us, it's not so well-known that George, who struck gold playing Dr. Doug Ross on NBC's hour-long drama 'ER', appeared in ANOTHER television series of (almost) the same title. 'E-R' was a sitcom where George played Ace, who (I believe, but haven't been able to confirm) was a male nurse.
6. 'E-R' (1984 series) and 'Friends'

Answer: Elliot Gould

Elliot played Dr. Howard Sheinfeld on the short lived sitcom 'E-R', and has the reoccuring character of Monica and Ross's father (Jack Gellar) on 'Friends'.
7. 'Friends' and 'Godzilla' (1998)

Answer: Hank Azaria

Hank has played Phoebe's scientist love (who keeps leaving her for Minsk, Russia) on 'Friends', and cameraman Victor 'Animal' Polotti in 'Godzilla'.
8. 'Godzilla' (1998) and 'This is Spinal Tap'

Answer: Harry Shearer

Harry played anchorman Charles Caiman in 'Godzilla', and long-haired and bearded bassist Derek Smalls in 'This is Spinal Tap'.
9. 'This is Spinal Tap' and 'When Harry Met Sally'

Answer: Bruno Kirby

Bruno played chauffer Tommy Pischedda in 'This is Spinal Tap', and Harry's best bud Jess in 'When Harry Met Sally'. Billy Crystal also appeared in both, playing a mime-waiter in '...Tap'
10. 'When Harry Met Sally' and 'Amazon Women on the Moon'

Answer: Carrie Fisher

Carrie plays Sally's best gal pal Marie in 'When Harry Met Sally', and fallen woman Mary Brown in the 'Reckless Youth' episode in the before-they-were-stars celeb fest film 'Amazon Women on the Moon' - which, if you haven't seen it, hunt it down NOW! It's a corny goofball B-movie send up that's a real trip! For the record, all 4 choices appeared in 'Amazon', along with (to name a very few) Arsenio Hall, Ed Begley Jr, Peter Horton, Griffin Dunne, Sybil Danning, B.B. King, Rosanne Arquette (billed as Rosanna), Robert Picardo, Rip Taylor, Slappy White, Steve Allen, Henny Youngman, Kelly Preston and her future husband John's brother, Joey Travolta.
11. 'Amazon Women on the Moon' and 'In Living Color'

Answer: David Alan Grier

David plays Don 'No Soul' Simmons in 2 segments of 'Amazon...', and need I list his various characters on 'In Living Color'?
12. 'In Living Color' and 'Simon Birch' (1998)

Answer: Jim Carrey

Again, I don't think I need to list Jim's 'In Living Color' resume. In 'Simon Birch', Jim played the adult Joe Wenteworth (Joseph Mazello plays the young version of the co-starring character).
13. 'Simon Birch' (1998) and 'Working Girl'

Answer: Oliver Platt

Oliver plays Ben Goodrich in 'Simon Birch', and Dave Lutz, the chauvanist pig boss that Melanie bails on after he 'pimps her out' at the beginning of 'Working Girl'.
14. 'Working Girl' and 'A Bug's Life'

Answer: Kevin Spacey

Kevin has a brief appearance as the pig who trys to get Melanie to sleep with him for a job at the beginning of 'Working Girl', and is the voice of evil Hopper in 'A Bug's Life'
15. 'A Bug's Life' and 'Everybody Loves Raymond'

Answer: Brad Garrett

Brad was the voice of Dim in 'A Bug's Life', and plays Ray's brother Robert in 'Everybody Loves Raymond'.
16. 'Everybody Loves Raymond' and 'The Rose' (1979)

Answer: Doris Roberts

Doris plays Ray's nosy mother Marie on 'Everybody Loves Raymond', and Bette Midler's mother in 'The Rose'
17. 'The Rose' and 'Hamlet' (1990 - with Mel Gibson)

Answer: Alan Bates

Alan played Bette's manager Rudge Campbell in 'The Rose', and the usurper king Claudius in Mel Gibson's version of 'Hamlet'.
18. 'Hamlet' (1990-Gibson) and 'Lady Jane'

Answer: Helena Bonham Carter

The lovely Helena plays the tragic Ophelia in 'Hamlet', and the title character in 'Lady Jane', a marvelous and underseen film about England's 9-days queen, who reigned after the death of 16-year-old Edward VI and before Mary regained her rightful throne to become the first ruling Queen of England.
19. 'Lady Jane' and 'Dune' (1984 film)

Answer: Patrick Stewart

Patrick has a magnificent performance as Henry Grey, Duke of Suffolk (Jane's domineering father) in 'Lady Jane', and Gurney Halleck in 'Dune'.
20. 'Dune' (1984) and 'Pocahontas' (Disney's 1995 animated film)

Answer: Linda Hunt

Linda played Shadout Mapes in 'Dune', and the voice of Grandmother Willow in 'Pocahontas'.
