The producers of Jamie's first TV show also were responsible for giving us "The Two Fat Ladies." Thank goodness they didn't give us two fat naked ladies. To this day Jamie maintains a certain level, if not, discomfort and even dislike for that name.

Actually, more of a pub-restaurant. It's in Clavering, Essex, where Jamie grew up. Even without Jamie in the kitchen, the food was fantastic the last time I went there!

Juliette, a former model from Cambridge, and Jamie were married in June 2000. Jamie is very happy because for the first two years of their relationship Juliette was too intimidated to cook so Jamie had to do all the cooking. Now she does her share. Pukka!

Jamie's TV career began accidentally. He was one of many chefs in the kitchen (at the River Cafe') of a BBC documentary. He'd only come in because another chef had called in sick. After it aired the offers poured in as TV execs wanted to know who that cheeky one was who kept telling camera crew to "get out of the way mate."

After her parents famously tried to conceive and relied on hormone treatments, Poppy was born on the 18 March 2002, tipping the scales at 7lbs, 14 oz.

The 16 to 24-year-olds, with virtually no experience had to become top-class chefs. He was setting up a new restaurant ("Fifteen") in an old building in East London where they would work. Jamie, who is quite popular in America, also regularly appears on the Jay Leno (Tonight) Show, even though many people say they can't understand what he is talking about. Don't worry Yanks, neither do we. Jamie was not hurt falling off the scooter, except maybe for his pride.

All the profits from Jamie's "Fifteen" restaurant go to Cheeky Chops, used to fund more training for more young hopefuls, and maybe more "Fifteen" restaurants around the world.

Jamie bought them for £29,000 at a charity auction. Ironically, although Jamie's injury was just a bruise in a kickabout with friends, Beckham had suffered a break of the metatarsal just prior to the 2002 World Cup. Jamie decided to hang the boots on his restaurant wall.
