Answer: Illinois

Pat was born in Chicago, Illinois on the 26th of October in the year 1946.
2. How old was Pat when he went live on the radio for the first time?

Answer: 19 years old

Pat's name was drawn to appear on the "Dick Biondi Show" in 1965. He read for commercials, announced songs about to be played and just tried to do his best for over an hour. Instantly he knew he wanted to have a career in broadcasting.
3. Pat graduated from Columbia College in Chicago.

Answer: False

Pat attended Columbia College in Chicago and majored in broadcasting but he didn't graduate. He left after three years and joined the Army. He was then sent to Vietnam and after a short time, he was transferred into Armed Forces Radio. For a year and a half, Pat was on the the morning show on 'AFVN' in Saigon and shouted, "Good Morning, Vietnam!" over the air-waves.
4. Pat was once the host for the game show "Press Your Luck".

Answer: True

The "Press Your Luck" as we know it, was based on the show "Second Chance", airing on ABC in 1977. In 1980, the Carruthers Company pitched "Press Your Luck" with Pat Sajak as the host. When "Press Your Luck" returned in 1983, Pat was already tied to "Wheel of Fortune", so Peter Tomarken, (just finishing up with the game show "Hit Man"), was given the job as the host.
There is even a picture of him in this pilot on his website!

It's called 'Bojak Records'. It was founded by Pat and Bob Burton. Their first release is Jude Johnstone's "Coming of Age". Jude has written songs for Johnny Cash, Stevie Nicks and Trisha Yearwood.
