Answer: Ellen Stratton

Ellen Stratton was born June 9, 1939, in Marietta, Mississippi, and first appeared in the December 1959. There were Playmates of the Year before her, in 1957 (Lisa Winters) and 1959 (Joyce Nizzari), but the title become an annual feature in the year 1960, making Stratton the first "official" Playmate of the Year. Ellen has a credit as second second assistant director in the short, "Miss Supreme Queen" (1999).

Answer: Linda Gamble

Linda Gamble, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 11, 1939, first appeared in April 1960. She has two movie credits to her name; they are "The Sweet Ride" (1968) and "Judd for the Defense" (1967).
3. Playmate of the Year 1962

Answer: Christa Speck

Christa Speck was born August 1, 1942, in Danzig, Germany (now Gdańsk, Poland), and died March 22, 2013, in Los Angeles, California. She first appeared in the September 1961 issue and also worked as a bunny in the company's Chicago nightclub. Her centerfold appeared in the movie "Animal House" (1978).

The movie is set in the year 1962, and her centerfold is one of two seen behind Otter's bar.
4. Playmate of the Year 1963

Answer: June Cochran

June Cochran was born February 20, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and passed away May 21, 2004, in Madison Wisconsin and buried in her town of birth Indianapolis, Indiana. Before appearing first in the December 1962 issue, she was Miss Indiana USA (1960), but not place in the national competition. She had three children - Jay and Gary Bedell and Lorina Sluder.
5. Playmate of the Year 1964

Answer: Donna Michelle

She was born as Donna Michelle Fick on December 8, 1945, in Los Angeles, and appeared first in December 1963. Donna was 17 at the time the centerfold was photographed. She died from cancer on April 11, 2004. She has several movie credits to her name, including "Beach Blanket Bingo" (1965), and several episodes in the television series, "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." (1964-65).
6. Playmate of the Year 1965

Answer: Jo Collins

Born as Janet Canoy, on August 5, 1945, in Lebanon, Oregon, Janet first appeared in December 1964 issue of "Playboy". During the Vietnam war she worked with United Service Organizations tours, and was nicknamed G.I. Jo. At that time "Playboy" had a offer giving anyone a lifetime subscription to the magazine if they received the first copy in person from a playmate.

She delivered a copy of "Playboy" in person to a lieutenant named Jack Price of the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
7. Playmate of the Year 1966

Answer: Allison Parks

She was born Gloria Waldron on October 18, 1941, in Glendale, California, and died June 21, 2010, at the age of 68 in Hawaii. Allison first appeared as the cover model in May 1966 and as Playmate of the Month in October 1965. She was married at the time of her centerfold and her two children appeared in the article, listed as "swimming school" students.
8. Playmate of the Year 1967

Answer: Lisa Baker

Lisa Baker was born in Detroit, Texas, on March 19, 1944, and first appeared in November 1966. She was seen as the Budweiser girl on "The Tonight Show" starring Johnny Carson. In the June 1997 issue article "Playmate Revisited: Lisa Baker", it was stated that thirty years later she was working in the Texas oil industry and operating her own mail order company.
9. Playmate of the Year 1968

Answer: Angela Dorian

Born as Victoria Vetri on September 26, 1944, in San Francisco, California, she first appeared in the September 1967 issue. Angela has also appeared on television and in movies, "Chuka" (1967) and "Rosemary's Baby" (1968). As Victoria Vetri she appeared in "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" (1970), where she refused to dye her hair blonde from her natural auburn and wore a wig instead.
10. Playmate of the Year 1969

Answer: Connie Kreski

Born as Constance Kornacki on September 19, 1946, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Connie died March 21, 1995, in Beverly Hills, California. She first appeared in the January 1968 "Playboy". She appeared as Pearl Gray in "Captains and the Kings" (1976), a television mini series, and her movie credits include the "The Black Bird" (1975).
