The Awe That Is Audrey Hepburn Quiz

Lots of the information from this quiz comes from a book written by her son, called "Audrey Hepburn, An Elegant Spirit". I strongly recommend this book to Audrey Hepburn fans. Some questions are harder than others. Good luck.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name on Audrey Hepburn's birth certificate?

Answer: Audrey Kathleen Ruston

Many people believe her name is Edda Van Heemstra Hepburn Ruston or some variation of that. Her father did not find out till later that some of his ancestors bore the name Hepburn so that is when he added it to his name and so did Audrey. During the war, Audrey's mother, Ella, changed Audrey's name to Edda because she thought that the name Audrey sounded to British and didn't want the Nazis to take her away.

She would use her birth certificate when proving Audrey's name by changing the L's to D's and the date from 1900 to 1929.
2. Audrey Hepburn had two sons one from Mel Ferrer and the other from Andrea Dotti. What are their names?

Answer: Sean Ferrer and Luca Dotti

3. Before the war, Audrey was living in England. Why did both Audrey and her mother, Ella, go to Holland when war was declared?
