2. James Woods Regional High School

Answer: Family Guy

Meg and Chris Griffin from the animated show "Family Guy" attend James Woods Regional High School. "Family Guy" was created by Seth MacFarlane, and first aired in 1999. It features the dysfunctional family, the Griffins, including Peter, his wife Lois and their three kids, i.e., Meg, Chris and baby Stewie, and their talking dog, Brian.
3. Bayside

Answer: Saved by the Bell

Bayside High was the setting for "Saved by the Bell" (1989-1992). Did you know that the show was a spin off of "Good Morning, Miss Bliss", where the students attended John F. Kennedy Junior High School? "Saved by the Bell" was about six students who attended Bayside in Palisades, California. The featured characters were: Zack, A.C., Screech, Kelly, Lisa and Jessie.
4. North Shore

Answer: Mean Girls

In an early role, Lindsay Lohan played Cady Heron, an exchange student from Africa, in the 2004 movie "Mean Girls". Cady attended North Shore High School in Chicago, Illinois. Also in attendance was a clique of three girls who called themselves the Plastics.

The leader of the Plastics was Regina George (Rachel McAdams) who was a mean, selfish, conceited bully who got her 'just des(s)erts'.
5. Shermer High School

Answer: The Breakfast Club

Five high school stereotypes all wind up in detention on a Saturday morning. This is the plot of "The Breakfast Club", a 1985 John Hughes movie. The five students all attend Shermer High School in Shermer, Illinois. The include Claire, the princess, Andrew, the athlete, Brian, the brain, Allison, the basket case, and John Bender, the criminal.

While serving their nine hour detention, they discover they have more in common than they thought.
6. Liberty High School

Answer: My So-Called Life

Liberty High School in Pittsburgh was the setting for the coming-of-age TV drama, "My So-Called Life". The show focused on fifteen year old Angela Chase, played by the very talented Claire Danes (of "Homeland" and "Romeo and Juliet"). It dealt with the everyday life of teenagers and their interactions with teachers, parents and friends. "My So-Called Life" was a wonderful show that ended way too soon.
7. Lawndale High

Answer: Daria

"Daria" (1997-2001) was an animated TV show whose main character was Daria Morgendorffer, a very bright adolescent girl, with a very cynical outlook on life. Daria first appeared as a minor character on "Beavis and Butthead". She attends Lawndale High, a fictional high school in California. Daria is an outsider with a sarcastic comment for every occasion, as she observes life from a distance.
8. McKinley High School

Answer: Freaks and Geeks

"Freaks and Geeks" was another short-lived teenage drama which aired from 1999 to 2000. The protagonist, Lindsay Weir, was a 'mathlete' who went to McKinley High School in Detroit, Michigan (not the one from "Glee" in Ohio). Set in the 1980s, the show differentiated (as high school students do) between the 'freaks' (the cool ones) and the 'geeks' (the nerds).

The cast included future 'stars' Seth Rogan, James Franco, Jason Segal, Linda Cardellini and Busy Philipps.
9. Padua High

Answer: 10 Things I Hate About You

A teenage movie based on a Shakespearean play? "10 Things I Hate About You" is based on "The Taming of the Shrew". The movie takes place at Padua High in Seattle, Washington, where Bianca Stratford is not allowed to date until her 'shrewish' sister Katarina does...and so the machinations begin. Listen to this cast: Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Larisa Oleynik, Gabrielle Union and Allison Janney (as Ms. Perky, the quirky guidance counselor).
10. Bronson Alcott High School

Answer: Clueless

Alicia Silverstone and Stacy Dash star in the 1995 film "Clueless", which is based on Jane Austin's novel "Emma". Cher Horowitz is the main character, a student attending Bronson Alcott High School in affluent Beverly Hills, California ("swimmin' pools, movie stars"). The plot depicts the trials, tribulations and angst of affluent adolescents.
