Formed in 1996, Coldplay features Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, and Will Champion as band members as well creative director Phil Harvey. Released in the year 2000, "Yellow" was the first Coldplay song to reach the top five in the United Kingdom and is considered the band's breakthrough hit internationally.

The song was nominated for Grammy Awards for both Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance, but failed to win either category. However, the song was featured on the album "Parachutes," which won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.

The third film by Quentin Tarantino, "Jackie Brown" is a homage to blaxploitation films from the 1970s. Amy Ray and Emily Saliers first met at the same elementary school Georgia. In 1985, they formed the folk group named Indigo Girls. In 1990, their album "Indigo Girls" won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Recording.
