Answer: "Boba Fett vs Samus"

Screwattack itself is named after the power-up from "Metroid", so it is fitting that this is the first episode of the series! The original was animated in sprites by the show's creator, Ben Singer, and the updated version animated with 3D models by Torrian Crawford contained a tribute to one of the show's biggest inspirations, Monty Oum.

Answer: "Batman vs Captain America"

Batman's the first character to win and lose a fight in the show. In 2012 he didn't fare so well against Spider-Man, but came out triumphant in his 2014 battle with Captain America.

Answer: "Link vs Cloud"

The first two 3D fights of the show were animated by Jordan Lange, who was eventually replaced by Torrian Crawford. Lange is the first "Death Battle" animator to animate a 2D sprite and 3D model fight for the series. Lange's second and final 3D "Death Battle" was the controversial "Goku vs Superman".

Answer: Yang Xiao Long

There's been some solid talent on the show. Iron Man and Snake were voiced by Funimation voice actors while Goku's voiced by his actor from "Dragon Ball Z Abridged". Yang's voice actress from "RWBY", Barbara Dunkelman, reprises her role in "Yang vs Tifa".

Answer: "Goku vs Superman"

Despite the numerous TeamFourStar actor cameos in "Goku vs Superman", Curtis was not one of them. He's voiced Deadpool, Shadow, and the Gun Store owner in the beginning of "Terminator vs Robocop". Curtis was also the announcer for season one of a spin-off show created by the animators called "One Minute Melee".

On a comedic note, Curtis and Screwattack made a video where he disagrees with Ben's verdict and insults his "stupid face".

Answer: A frog

"Death Battle" has some brutal kills, but Ivy from "Soulcalibur" doesn't even get the honor of dying in her own body! One of the No Mercy attacks of Black Orchid from "Killer Instinct" has her turn her victim into a helpless frog and squash them. Though she only resorted to this since her flashing No Mercy didn't have any effect on a fighter who has larger breasts than her.

Answer: Chun-Li

The arcade rivalry of "Mortal Kombat" and "Street Fighter" has entered the arena more than once on "Death Battle". The first two had the villains, which featured Akuma fighting Shang Tsung and M. Bison dueling Shao Kahn. The posterboy Ryu faced off against the iconic Scorpion.

Chun-Li meanwhile, fought Mai of the "King of Fighters" series but ended up roasted. Funny enough, her death sprite where she's reduced to a skeleton is from the first "Mortal Kombat" game!

Answer: Aang

After witnessing the series finale of "Avatar: The Last Airbender", Ben and Chad decided that Aang would easily destroy Harry and pitted Harry against sci-fi icon Luke Skywalker of the "Star Wars" films.

As for who won? Let's just say there's a good reason this came out near the final "Harry Potter" movie...

Answer: Leonardo

Leonardo's leadership, strategy and weaponry trumped Raphael's toughness, Donatello's smarts, and Michelangelo's... whatever advantage he had...

Leo went on to face Zitz of the classic beat-em-up "Battletoads". Zitz was voted to face Leo over the White Ranger from the "Power Rangers" series, who eventually fought Epyon in his Tigerzord mech in a later episode.

Answer: Metal Sonic

In a rare instance, the winner of this fight was not one of the title characters. Metal Sonic was the most overpowered fighters of Eggman's arsenal, but thanks to Wily's Roboenza virus and Metal Sonic's unpredictable nature, he showed the two mad scientists who was truly the boss.
