9. What would disqualify the movie collie Lassie from the AKC show ring?

Answer: None of the Above

Although the white blaze up the nose, sable and white color, four white paws and a full collar are characteristic of the TV and movie dog Lassie, none of them would disqualify him from the show ring. However, he is usually bred larger then most regular collies, and most collie breeders who show try to avoid the traditional Lassie characteristics.

The collie actually comes in four colors: Sable and white, like Lassie, Tri-color, which is black, white and tan (this was the color of the original Lassie that Eric Knight wrote about), blue merle, which is a pretty sort of splotched look, and white, which usually means that the head is colored.
