Selina Meyer, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, began her career as a Congresswoman from Maryland and went on to become senator from that state. She ran for president but lost in the primary but was selected for the vice presidential slot on the ticket and won.

She has a strained relationship with the president she serves under (Stuart Hughes who is never seen on screen) and eventually ascends to the presidency when he resigns the office.

Sam Fisher is special black ops counterterrorist who works for the NSA and reports directly to the President of the United States. He has traveled the world across his many games to fight terrorists.
