John is innocent of the crimes against him but is sentenced to death, despite Paul's better judgment.

Catherine has been in a mental institute where she goes on at length of all the nefarious things Sebastian did in his life and that may have caused his death. However the doctor is suspects Catherine is actually telling the truth and that Mrs. Venable is willing to go to great lengths to conceal it.

"Steel Magnolias" focuses on a number of Southern women. The main character is Shelby (Julia Roberts). Shelby is getting married to Jackson (Dylan McDermott) but as she is severely diabetic, having children could kill her. Despite that, Shelby wants to have children much to her mother M'Lynne's (Sally Field) dismay. Other characters are Annelle (Darryl Hannah), a new arrival in town whose husband has just left her and beauty parlor owner Truvy (Dolly Parton).

Louis de Point du Lac is one of the main characters in the "Vampire Chronicles" book series by Anne Rice. He is the main character in the first novel "Interview with the Vampire" where he tells his life story to a reporter. He is depressed after the death of his brother until he meets Lestat, a vampire. Lestat turns Louis into a vampire but Louis refuses to feast on humans. However, Louis falls more and more under Lestat's influence over time and the two men begin feasting on Louis' slaves. Fearing a rebellion and exposure, Louis and Lestat are forced to leave the plantation and burn it to the ground.
