While there, O'Connell and his band end up accidentally awakening a long dead Egyptian high priest, Imhotep, who then terrorizes them in the form of a mummy.

5. Verdi opera set in the Old Kingdom of Egypt.

Radamès hopes to emerge victorious over Ethiopia and then claim Aida's hand.
6. The only Agatha Christie novel not set in the 20th century.

Answer: Death Comes as the End

"Death Comes as the End" is unique for being the only Christie mystery novel set in a historical period and also the only one not to feature any European characters. This is one of many novels that were inspired by Christie's trips with her archaeologist husband, Max Mallowan.

The plot follows an Egyptian household in 2000 BC in Thebes. The lives of the family members are thrown into disarray when the patriarch brings home a second wife.

Answer: Ozymandias

Percy Bysshe Shelley is one of the most highly regarded of the poets of the Romantic period. The sonnet "Ozymandias" was written for a friendly competition with fellow poet, Horace Smith. Smith also wrote a sonnet of the same name and the two were published within weeks of each other. Ozymandias was the name used by the Greeks for the Egyptian pharaoh Ramesses II.

The sonnet was said to be inspired by the British Museum acquiring a fragment of a statue of Ramesses II. Both Smith and Shelley's poems deal with the topic of hubris.
10. Protagonist of historical mystery novels written by Elizabeth Peters.
