Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is Invisible Kid's real name?

Answer: Lyle Norg

The three incorrect answers are the names of characters from television shows that featured invisible characters. Sam Casey was "The Gemini Man" (NBC 1976), Daniel Westin was "The Invisible Man" (NBC 1975) and Darien Fawkes was the "Invisible Man" (Sci-Fi Channel 2000-2002).
2. What is Invisible Kid's home planet?

Answer: Earth

He was born and raised on Earth. In the original continuity, his parents were living but rarely seen or referenced.
3. How did Invisible Kid gain his ability to turn any part of his body invisible?

Answer: He created a chemical serum and took it.

Lyle possessed genius level intelligence and was a prodigy in chemical biology.
4. Invisible Kid was elected as the fourth Legion Leader ('Adventure Comics' #348 1966), and he presided over many of the group's early epic adventures. Which of the following did NOT occur under his leadership?

Answer: "Computo the Conqueror" (Computo kills a Legionnaire)

All the battles noted were two issue continued stories. The Legion Leader during the Computo tale was Brainiac 5, Computo's creator!
5. After his tenure as leader was over, Invisible Kid (while still an active Legion member) began assisting a young meta-human boy to learn how to control his emerging powers. This boy would eventually become a future Legion member. Who was he?

Answer: Chemical King

Chemical King's powers of speeding and slowing chemical reactions were literally destroying the world around him. Invisible Kid was able to create a formula which allowed Chemical King to easily control his abilities. The two became very close friends. ('Secret Origins' vol. 2, #47 - 1990)
6. When Invisible Kid turns invisible, what happens to his clothes?

Answer: His invisibility includes an aura that envelops him.

There were many obstacles that Lyle had to address. Not only the additional aura for his clothes, but also how to make light register in his eyes when they were transparent. ('Superboy' vol 1, #176 - 1971)
7. In a story titled "Massacre by Remote Control", Invisible Kid is murdered. By whose hand is he killed?

Answer: Validus

Invisible Kid meets his end in 'Superboy' (vol. 1, #203 - 1974). Unlike some other Legionnaires whose eventual deaths were foretold in early "Adult Legion" tales, Lyle had never been mention in the adult stories. His death came as a complete shock to LSH readers.
8. In the post "Zero Hour" continuity, a young Invisible Kid is again an active member of the team. Who is now retro-fitted as being his closest childhood friend?

Answer: Jacques Foccart

In most other Legion continuities, Jacques Foccart will become Invisible Kid II, replacing Lyle after his death.

Another twist in this continuity is that Condo Arlik no longer becomes Chemical King, and he is hinted as having a romantic relationship with Lyle, making Invisible Kid gay in this incarnation. His sexual orientation being confirmed by writers, but never fully acknowledged in the stories.
9. In the Legion Reboot continuity, Invisible Kid is now the sole creator of what Legion apparatus?

Answer: Legion Flight Ring

In the previous continuity, the Legion Flight Ring was credited to differing combinations of three Legionnaires... Brainiac 5, Mon-El and Invisible Kid.
10. In the "threeboot" continuity of the Legion, Invisible Kid creates his invisibility serum for what reason?

Answer: His father requested it in order to sell it to the government.

Unlike other continuities where his creation of the invisibility formula is completely altruistic, in this story line his father is a Science Police officer who requests the formula with the intent of having it militarized. When Lyle finds out he injects himself with the only working serum and claims his research was unsuccessful.
