Luigi is Mario's younger brother in the "Mario" franchise, who pretty much always wears green clothes, just as Mario always wears red. Yoshi, also from the "Mario" franchise, with a few games starring himself, is a green dinosaur who can swallow enemies with his abnormally long tongue and turn them into eggs.

He also can flutter jump and stay hovering in the air for a little bit. There are also many different color variations of Yoshi, and technically Yoshis are a whole species, but the main Yoshi is always green. Link, from "The Legend of Zelda" series, is the main hero of Hyrule in the games.

He can use weapons such as swords, bows, bombs, and such. The enemy is Ganondorf, who tries to take the Triforce to take over Hyrule for himself, often capturing Zelda, the princess, whom Link must rescue. Kirby, developed by HAL Laboratories, is a cute, little, pink puffball who can inhale enemies and swallow them (similar to Yoshi, except he can't produce eggs).

He can also copy any abilities the enemy may have had. If Kirby inhales air, he can fly indefinitely (in most games).

The objective is often to stop Dream Land from being taking over, sometimes by King Dedede, sometimes by Meta Knight, although usually by a darker force. Shigeru Miyamoto originally wished Kirby yellow, but Kirby's creator, Masahiro Sakurai, insisted he be pink. He was also named after the vacuum brand for his air-sucking powers.

He chooses Princess Fiona, and lets Shrek, along with a talking donkey, to rescue Fiona. However, each night, Fiona turns into an ogre due to a curse, and reverts back in the morning.

When she kisses her true love, she will stay permanently in the form she is in. King Farquaad plans to kiss her at her wedding to make her a human at her wedding, but she turns into an ogre at the wedding and becomes one permanently after she and Shrek kiss.

Michael "Mike" Wazowski, voiced by Billy Crystal, is the deuteragonist, second main character to James P. "Sully" Sullivan, a blue, tall monster. The two are best friends and working partner. Mike is also a boyfriend to Celia Mae. Mike, Sulley, and the other monsters scare kids in bed to get scream energy to power their factory.

However, one girl, Boo, is not scared, so Sulley dresses her up as a monster and brings her to the factory. Later, the two are exiled to the Himalayas.
