Question 1 of 10
1. Candidate one enters the room after knocking on the door (or should I say knocking down the door!). On my first question on why he should be made the Chief, all he said was that it entitles him to bashing a lot of Romans (I guess intelligence is not one of his forte!). I was impressed by this "obliquely" shaped guy that I asked to join me for a snack (or what should I call a meal that consisted of boars and still more boars?). I think he liked me a lot that he decided to give me a rather "big" present! Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. Candidate number two walks into the room (remember there is no door now!), there is a strange smell (stench, to be precise) coming from him. He informs me that while he is not a born leader, he can ensure the success of the group by making them eat more fish, which he will readily supply. I inspected him closely and found that he had a black eye (he said he got it when he was bashing up Romans, something I couldn't digest nevertheless I decided to believe him!). Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. Candidate three was a battered, seemingly much abused man; he carried a harp with him - only the strings seemed to be violently removed, albeit recently. I proceeded to interview him and was dismayed by the hoarse, crass tunes he sang as replies. I had to kick out of the room and pray that he doesn't attend the banquet which I intended to throw that night. Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. Candidate four was a tall, well build red-haired (or blonde...) guy who walked into the room with an air of arrogance. He looked ready for a fight with me; petrified, I asked him for his qualifications. He replied that he was a blacksmith and then in a threatening voice, he told me that he was the one who manhandled the fishmonger and the singer! I got the message - I was about to tell him that he is selected the Chief when a lady entered the room and ordered the candidate to come with her, to which he replied, "yes, my wife". Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. After some time, an old (lets say really old) man walked into the room; I didn't realize that he was a candidate till he told me so. He talked about women and more women, which is when I realized that this character is one hell of a pervert! Just when I thought what more unexpected could possibly happen, a beautiful and amazing lady walked into the room and told the old man, "My sweet-pie husband, dinner's ready". Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. I decided to have a cup of tea before I called the next candidate. To my dismay, the candidate didn't follow my instructions - I guess he believes in giving orders rather than taking it. He was carried on a shield by some bony men (or should I say skeletons!). He told me that he should be made the chief because he is the chief of his village. For the next two hours, he recounted his adventures, most of which I found hard to believe! Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. In walked an old man, somewhat frail looking; I was surprised with the respect the last candidate gave him as he was entering the room. He had a Golden sickle in one hand and seemed to be a very wise and knowledgeable person. He told me he didnÂ't want to be the Chief but the chief Chemist and potion maker. Surprised as I was, I let him take that job. Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. I was shocked to see a short lady walk in Â- she was impolite and seemed conceited and haughty Â- she looked like she was the wife of the village chief! Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. I was surprised to see a character that was not from that village. He looked like a slimy creature Â- pale yellow skin. He told me that he had once worked for a chief Majestix. He later told me that he knows a particular druid who can create magic portions and health elixirs. He nearly convinced me to join forces with the Romans. I resented the influence he was having on my mind and so I kicked him also out! Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. Now I was becoming more and more desperate; I had further reason to be so when I saw a puny little man wearing a weird helmet walk into the room. He came across a shrewd man but I was doubtful whether he could fight. Soon I started making fun of him and his size till I saw drink from a bottle he took out from his sash. $@#$% BOOMÂ...Â.... Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

Answer: Obelix

Obelix is Asterix's best friend and he has been on every mission with him - in fact one of the missions is named after him! He fell into a cauldron of the magic portion and hence he wasn't allowed the "regular" dose of the same when the Romans came calling.

He and Asterix were born at the same time. Obleix's father is Obeliscoidix. Obelix works as a menhir delivery guy (he creates them too!)

Answer: Unhygenix

Unhygenix is the apt name given to this fishmonger who sells "fresh one month fish"! Always involved in a duel with Fullyautomatix or Cacofonix, he is generally the starting point of all fights within the village! His father is Oftalmologix.

Answer: Cacofonix

He is the most unsuitable bachelor of the village; with the exception of a few adventures, Cacofonix is the only one who is not allowed to dine at the banquet (due to the fact that he insists on singing!). While the village hates his singing, they consider him as a part of their village and will not surrender him to anyone! Cacofonix had come handy to the village quite a few times Â- he saved an Indian princess from getting beheaded and he taught the Normans Â"true fearÂ"!

Answer: Fulliautomatix

Fulliautomatix is the village bully; he specializes in beating up Unhygenix, Cacofonix and Geriatrix. His father is Semiautomatix.

Answer: Geriatrix

Geriatrix is the oldest man in the village but that doesn't stop from having his fair share of fights. Generally seen getting bashed up by Fulliautomatix.

Answer: Vitalstatistix

Vitalstatistix is the leader of the village, a brave yet lazy soldier. He's ready to help fellow Gauls in case they need his help.

Answer: Getafix

Getafix is the village druid - he makes the portions which helps the villagers fight the Romans. Easily the most vital member of the village...
8. I was shocked to see a short lady walk in Â- she was impolite and seemed conceited and haughty Â- she looked like she was the wife of the village chief!

Answer: Impedimenta

Impedimenta is the wife of the Vitalstatistix and she is quite capable of influencing his decisions!

Answer: Codfix

We meet Codfix in the adventure "The Great Divide". However his intentions of marrying Melodrama and taking over her village was thwarted by Asterix, Obelix and Getafix.
