A very lengthy and bloody feud with Jerry and Jack Brisco resulted in two more reigns and a memorable match at the initial "Starrcade" in 1983. Eventually they were split up with Festus becoming Luke Gallows the muscle/enforcer for CM Punk and his 'Straight Edge Society". Jesse had a brief run as rapper "Slam Master J" which did last long either. Both talents were released in 2010.
6. This pair of time travelers had a brief stint in the NWA during 1987 and claimed to be from the future. They sported odd haircuts, futuristic jackets and claimed they were from the year 2002 where Dusty Rhodes was The President of The United States. Who were they?

Answer: The New Breed

In late 1986 Sean Royal and Chris Champion formed a tag team called The New Breed in Florida Championship Wrestling. The territory was literally on its last legs and they arrived in the NWA in the spring of 1987. They claimed that they had traveled back in time and a feud was supposed to take place with NWA Tag Team Champions The Rock and Roll Express.

A car accident sidelined Champion for several months and when he returned whatever momentum the duo had, which was not much, was gone. The team was disbanded in early 1988 with Sean Royal leaving the wrestling business for good.

After successful stints in both Mid South and WCCW the duo came to the NWA in 1985 and won the NWA Tag Team Titles the following year. Answer: The Kentuckians

Tex Salzenger and Shanghai Pierce were the first characters portrayed by the burly Knight and Canterbury in WCW from 1993-1994. In late 1994 Pierce left for the WWF where he became the heel hog farmer Henry Godwin but by the summer of 1995 had become a face.

In 1996 Knight arrived as Henry's dim witted cousin Phineas and the two hired Hillbilly Jim as a manager. The duo did have a short run as WWF Tag Team Champions in the spring of 1996 before making a heel turn the following year and feuding with The Legion of Doom.

In the summer of 1998, wearing suits and shades and using their real names the two were dubbed Southern Justice and served as the muscle for Jeff Jarrett. In October 1998 Canterbury was injured and released a short time later while Knight portrayed the eccentric Mideon for awhile.

DeWayne Bruce and Dale Veasey actually formed The State Patrol in Stu Hart's Stampede promotion in 1988 during its declining months. In 1989 they brought their gimmick to WCW where for the next six years they would be nothing more than jobbers to the stars. Bruce and Veasey were very talented wrestlers and the gimmick actually wasn't that bad either so its a shame the fans never really took to it.

After the duo disbanded Bruce was nicknamed Sarge and became the head trainer at the WCW Power Plant until the companies demise in 2001.
10. After the untimely death of Jay Youngblood in 1985 Mark Youngblood began teaming with his younger brother Chris. The two had a brief run in WCW in 1990-1991, what were they known as?

After Jay's unexpected death in 1985, Mark wrestled alone for a awhile before taking younger brother Chris under his wing as a partner. In 1990 they arrived in WCW where they were called The Renegade Warriors and their big highlight was wrestling The Freebirds at "Halloween Havoc '90".

Answer: The Dicks

John Toland and Charles Wicks had competed in the WWE's Ohio training promotion for some time before they finally made it to the main roster in the fall of 2005. Together they portrayed the heel duo of James and Chad Dick, brothers, who were two male strippers.

They made a big splash in October of 2005 when they cost Road Warrior Animal and Heidenreich the WWE Tag Team Championship against MNM. The gimmick never really caught on and their lone highlight was defeating Animal and Heidenreich on segment of Smackdown in November 2005.

The Dicks were released in early 2006, another talented duo who were given a bad role.
12. In late 1985, Sting and The Ultimate Warrior got their first big break in the business as a tag team. They competed in Bill Watts Mid South and had a similar look and persona to the famed Road Warriors. What was this team called?

Answer: The Blade Runners

Steve Borden aka Sting and Jim Helwig aka The Ultimate Warrior were actually paired together by Jerry Lawler and Jerry Jarrett in the CWA in mid 1985. Despite impressive bodies the two lacked wrestling skills and often injured opponents, including Lawler, which led to their departure.

In late 1985 they came to Bill Watts Mid South territory where they were dubbed The Blade Runners and managed by "Hotstuff" Eddie Gilbert. Although they did challenge Ted Dibiase and Steve Williams for The Mid South Tag Team Titles, their run was short.

In the summer of 1986 Helwig left for WCCW while Borden remained and eventually became one of the industry's big time stars as Sting. Helwig hit it big as The Ultimate Warrior in the WWF in late 1987 but his attitude hindered his career.
13. These two South African wrestlers had a very successful run in WCCW in the late 1980s. Brothers, they quickly became popular with the fans and served as allies for the legendary Von Erich clan. Who were these men?

In 1987 Steve was joined by his younger brother Shaun and together, The Simpsons, won the WCCW Texas Tag Team Titles on three occasions.

The Simpsons feuded with The Freebirds, John Tatum and Jack Victory, and the menagerie of wrestlers managed by General Skandor Akbar.
14. In late 1984 Gino Hernandez and Chris Adams formed a heel tag team that referred to themselves as "The Dynamic Duo". This was actually the second version of the team, the original was in Southwest Championship Wrestling in 1982 and was made up of Gino Hernandez and who?

Answer: Tully Blanchard

In 1982 in Joe Blanchard's Southwest territory his son Tully formed the original "Dynamic Duo" with a young brash wrestler named Gino Hernandez. The two had great success but eventually egos clashed and the two had a violent parting of ways. Two years later Hernandez reformed the team this time in WCCW with "Gentleman" Chris Adams.

The two feuded with the Von Erichs and the climax saw Hernandez and Adams have their heads shaved bald in October 1985.
15. In the waning days of the WWF's "Attitude Era" two talented and underrated wrestlers formed a team which hearkened back to the halcyon days of the 1970s and 1980s. They wore athletic pants and even had the obligatory obnoxious manager in place. What was this short lived duo?

Answer: Lo Down

The short lived tag team called "Lo Down" was made up of D Lo Brown and Chaz who had previously wrestled as Mosh of The Headbangers. They made their debut in the summer of 2000 and were managed by the sneaky, scheming Tiger Ali Singh. The duo possessed some great natural ability and did have some impressive matches against the APA and The Dudley Boys. Unfortunately they never caught on and by early 2001 Chaz and Singh were terminated and Brown returned to singles competition.
