Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. A-Train aka Matt Bloom got his break in the wrestling business in 1999. Which wrestling federation did he become champion of in January 1999?

Answer: Power Pro Wrestling

He caused quite an upset by defeating local hero, Jerry 'The King' Lawler, in Memphis to become the very first Power Pro Wrestling champion. Power Pro Wrestling was then a developmental or 'farm' federation for the WWE.
2. Bloom entered the World Wrestling Federation itself not long afterwards as the tattoo artist 'Prince Albert'. Whom did he team with regularly, following his debut?

Answer: Droz

Prince Albert and Droz became a fairly run-of-the-mill team, before the incredibly unfortunate incident that happened to Droz in the ring, and left him paralysed for life.
3. Prince Albert soon joined forces with the Big Bossman, and helped him in his feud with the Big Show. What truly insensitive thing did they do to incite the Big Show?

Answer: Dragged away his father's coffin

Even though all four of those are possible WWE storylines, they did only drag away Show's father's coffin. Show's father had died in reality very shortly beforehand, and the angle has gone down in history for being of incredible bad taste.
4. After Albert and Bossman split up, Albert almost went straight back to Tag Team competition, and teamed with Test. Which diva was the valet for 'Test and Albert'?

Answer: Trish Stratus

Trish caught her break in the WWE as the vivacious and curvy valet for Test, Albert and Val Venis. These were in the days when she couldn't wrestle as well as she can now, and didn't have to prop up the entire women's division on her shoulders.
5. Test and Albert went to "WrestleMania 2000", and competed against, and defeated which 'legendary' tag team?

Answer: Head Cheese

Yes, Head Cheese, consisting of Steve Blackman and Al Snow, were designated jobbers to Test and Albert at "WrestleMania 2000". At least Blackman and Snow got their "WrestleMania" bonuses.
6. Skipping ahead nearly a year to 2001, Albert had left Test and Albert and was about to align himself with a new stable. Who were they?

Answer: X-Factor

X-Factor, with their pink lighting and homosexually-inclined music/leader actually got over. Ok, they didn't really. In fact, Albert was the only one to come out of it with any dignity.
7. In June 2001 Albert won his most valued prize, the Intercontinental Title. He defeated Kane for it, but who did he end up losing the title to?

Answer: Lance Storm

Lance Storm was given the Intercontinental Title, but he soon lost it to Edge. For the rest of the Invasion, Albert did absolutely nothing. However, he did find an unlikely new partner.
8. The whole world was shocked, well a few people in Alabama were, when Albert began teaming with Scotty 2 Hotty. What was the 'unofficial' name for this tag team?

Answer: The Zoo Crew

Jerry Lawler unofficially christened them the Zoo Crew, as Scotty was the Worm, and Albert the hip-hop hippo. Matt Bloom has in recent times mentioned that this tag team is the thing he regrets about his career the most.
9. After splitting the tag team in 2002, and bouncing around on "Velocity" for six months following the roster split, Paul Heyman was looking for some extra muscle. He chose Albert, and re-christened him A-Train. Who did Albert attack, to make him stand out to Heyman?

Answer: Rey Mysterio Jr.

Rey was brutally attacked by Albert on "SmackDown!". This push was actually supposed to go to Matt Hardy, but in the end Bloom's size was his advantage, and the bookers went for him instead. He even had a Pay-Per-View match against Edge at "Armageddon" that ended in DQ.
10. The last thing of note that A-Train did in the WWE, before he was fired, was compete in a "WrestleMania XIX" match against The Undertaker. Nathan Jones was scheduled to team with Taker, but he wasn't considered good enough in the ring to do it. Bloom was traded to "RAW" in April 2004, where he did very little due to a torn rotater cuff. Who was he traded for, along with Chuck Palumbo?

Answer: Miss Jackie and Rico

Since the trade, Bloom obtained the torn rotater cuff, and on November 1, 2004, Bloom was released from the WWE along with many others in a mass roster cut. In the unlikely event he reads this, I wish him luck with his future careers.
