Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which Marvel movie features a climactic one-man dance-off to the song "O-o-h Child" by the Five Stairsteps?

Answer: "Guardians of the Galaxy"

Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, starts singing and dancing to this song in the face of imminent death at the hands of a cosmic-powered Ronan the Accuser. He is successful in distracting him long enough for his allies to rally and blast Ronan's devastating hammer into pieces, releasing the mighty gem within.
2. What's the name of the fairy that's constantly telling Link: "Hey", "Look", "Listen", and "Watch out" in the Nintendo 64 classic of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time"?

Answer: Navi

"Hey, listen!"

Her incessant desire to help you out with widely varying degrees of usefulness has made Navi commonplace in lists describing the most annoying characters ever suffered in video games.
3. In which manga/anime series would you find a "shinigami" (soul reaper) wielding a "zanpakutô"(soul-cutting sword)?

Answer: "Bleach"

Zanpakutô are usually katanas, but their real power is manifested after the user commands them to do "shikai" (initial release) or "bankai" (final release), which can radically alter their shape and utility and grant the wielder exponentially greater combat prowess.

The "shinigami" are agents of Soul Society, a samurai-structured spirit world that's tasked with hunting down "hollows" (ghosts devouring souls of people in the real world), "arrancars" (human-like evolved ghosts with similar abilities to shinigamis), "quincy" (rival organization with opposing views on how to deal with ghosts) and other enemies.
4. Which of the following is not a yellow bird?

Answer: Lord Shen

Lord Shen is the evil peacock ruler in "Kung Fu Panda 2" and was voiced by Gary Oldman.

Woodstock is Snoopy's sidekick in the comic series of "Peanuts."

Chocobos are flightless running birds found throughout the video game series of "Final Fantasy."

Moltres is the legendary phoenix-like fire bird in the "Pokemon" franchise.
5. What image does Daryl Dixon from "The Walking Dead" wear on the back of his leather vest in the popular AMC TV series?

Answer: Angel wings

His other ever-present possessions are his chopper, his crossbow, and the red bandana in his back pocket.
6. Comic book writer-artist Mike Mignola created this hulking, heroic character with a passion for cigars and over-sized handguns, and it was brought to mainstream consciousness thanks to the charismatic acting chops of Ron Perlman in a 2004 film. Who is this character?

Answer: Hellboy

Hellboy's first comic appearance was in 1993.

Summoned by Rasputin and the Nazis in 1944 to fulfill his role as "The Beast of the Apocalypse", Hellboy was rescued instead by the Allies and secretly raised into work as a paranormal detective for the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD).

His over-sized, stone-like "Right Hand of Doom" is practically indestructible and holds mythical powers beyond Hellboy's initial knowledge. The hand-cannon type of a gun he uses in the movies was named "The Good Samaritan" though by the sequel, he had a new huge, shotgun-like weapon named "The Big Baby".

Ron Perlman smoked real cigars during the filming of the "Hellboy" movies. In an interview for "Vulture", he mentioned he preferred Nicaraguan cigars at the time of filming, so that's what he was smoking throughout.
7. What are the names of the three minions that first appeared in 2010's "Despicable Me" and were featured in 2015's "Minions" film?

Answer: Bob, Kevin and Stuart

Pierre Coffin provides the voices for all minions as well as sitting in the director's chair. He co-directed "Despicable Me" and its sequel with Chris Renaud, but he teamed up with Kyle Balda instead for "Minions."
8. What's the name of the "Men in Black" signature memory erasure device?

Answer: Neuralyzer

Kay: "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow."

Yeah, you'll know as long as they don't neuralyze your new-found knowledge.
9. What's the name of the floating city you spend most of the time in during the events of the video game of "Bioshock Infinite"?

Answer: Columbia

The floating city of Columbia was created to display the ideals of a proud and strong America, and it was sent around the world in a sort of a bragging good-will trip, which quickly devolved once the Boxer Rebellion took place in China. Columbia fired on the Chinese citizens in retaliation for the treatment of Americans during that crisis and the American government, caught by surprise, publicly denounced it. Columbia took that as a betrayal and declared themselves as the true America, becoming an ultra-nationalist, extremist isolated "utopia" that was anything but.
10. In the "Star Wars" universe, what's an AAT?

Answer: A battle tank

The AAT or Armored Assault Tank, was a floating heavy armor tank used by the Trade Federation (Invasion of Naboo) as well as Separatist forces (Clone Wars). It was usually manned by a crew of battle droids.
