Answer: Mankind

On November 2, 1998 during an episode of "Raw", WWE Chairman Vince McMahon awarded the WWE Hardcore Championship to Mankind (Mick Foley). He held the title for 28 days before losing it to the Big Boss Man on November 30, 1998.
2. Who was the first superstar to compete under the "24/7" rule as WWE Hardcore Champion?

Answer: Crash Holly

Crash Holly won the Hardcore Championship on February 24, 2000 from Test on an episode of "SmackDown". Crash Holly would introduce the "24/7" clause, meaning the Hardcore Championship could be defended anytime, anywhere, provided a referee was present.
3. Which superstar had the most reigns as the WWE Hardcore Champion?

Answer: Raven

Former WWE superstar and ECW alumnus, Raven, held the WWE Hardcore Championship 27 times. He first won the Hardcore Championship on December 22, 2000 from Steve Blackman during an episode of "Raw".

The WWE Hardcore Championship changed hands repeatedly thanks to the "24/7" rule. Mighty Molly (aka Molly Holly) pinned The Hurricane at "Wrestlemania X8", but lost it to Christian the same night. On May 6, 2002 during an episode of "Raw", Trish Stratus pinned Crash Holly, but lost the title to Steven Richards. Terri Runnels pinned Steven Richards during an interview on "Raw", May 27, 2002, but lost back to Richards immediately after. Lita never won it.

Maven was the male winner of the first "Tough Enough" competition. On an episode of "SmackDown" that aired February 7, 2002, Maven defeated The Undertaker for the WWE Hardcore Championship. Maven would receive help from The Rock and "Tough Enough" trainer Al Snow, who both interfered to Maven's benefit.
6. Which superstar renamed the WWE Hardcore Championship as the Texas Hardcore Championship?

Answer: Bradshaw

After Bradshaw split from the Acolytes Protection Agency (APA) in 2002, he went on a singles run. He would win the WWE Hardcore Championship 17 times. On July, 15, 2002, Bradshaw won the Hardcore title from Johnny Stamboli and renamed it the WWE Texas Hardcore Championship and wore a custom belt with the Texas flag on it.
7. Which of these legends won the WWE Hardcore Championship?

Answer: Gerald Brisco

On May 18, 2000, during an episode of "SmackDown", Gerald Brisco of The Brisco Brothers captured the WWE Hardcore Championship from Crash Holly. Using the "24/7" rule, Brisco pinned Crash while he was sleeping. On June 12, 2000, Brisco would lose the title to Crash, but would take it back June 19, 2000. That same night, fellow legend and stooge Pat Patterson would defeat Brisco by knocking him out with a champagne bottle.

This led up to the Hardcore Evening Gown Match between Patterson and Brisco at "King of The Ring", June 25, 2000.
8. Which superstar had the longest reign as WWE Hardcore Champion?

Answer: Big Boss Man

The Big Boss Man won the WWE Hardcore Championship from Al Snow on October 12, 1999. He would remain the Hardcore Champion for 97 days, the longest reign of the belt's history. He eventually lost it to Test on January 17, 2000. Al Snow has the second longest reign at 91 days.
9. On the March 13, 2000 episode of "Raw" where did Crash Holly defend the WWE Hardcore Championship?

Answer: At the airport

On March 13, 2000, utilizing the "24/7" rule, Pete Gas of the Mean Street Posse pinned Crash Holly at Newark Airport in New Jersey to win the Hardcore title. Shortly after, Crash Holly pinned Pete Gas to win the title back. Crash Holly was known as "The Houdini of Hardcore", due to the many times he had to escape with the Hardcore title.
10. Which superstar unified the WWE Hardcore Championship with the WWE Intercontinental Championship?

Answer: Rob Van Dam

Former ECW alumni Tommy Dreamer and Rob Van Dam fought a match during "Raw" on August 19, 2002, to unify the WWE Hardcore Championship with the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Rob Van Dam defeated Tommy Dreamer and the Hardcore Championship belt was retired.
