Goldust had given an unconscious Ahmed mouth to mouth on national television. Ahmed became the first African-American Intercontinental Champion on June 23, 1996. The match was held at the King of the Ring in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The bout was physical and both men put up a good fight. Ahmed held the title for less than two months.

Marty challenged his former partner for the Intercontinental Title and defeated Shawn. Marty defeated Shawn on May 17, 1993 and held the title for less than three weeks before losing it back to Shawn.

After months of chasing Valentine for the Intercontinental Title, Tito secured a match inside a steel cage.The match was held on July 6, 1985 in my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. Jimmy Hart was at ringside, but was unable to assist Valentine. Tito won the bout and the championship back to begin his second reign. In true Valentine fashion, him being a sore loser he destroyed the Intercontinental Title. Tito was a champion without a championship. Tito was later presented with a new Intercontinental Title which he defended until February of 1986.

Honky Tonk Man called out for someone to wrestle. The Ultimate Warrior's music came on and Honky was visibly shaken. Honky was not even able to remove his jumpsuit before Warrior tore into him. The Warrior's first reign lasted a little over two hundred days before he lost the Intercontinental Title the first time.
