WWF "Smackdown" January 24, 2002 Quiz

Answer: Rob Van Dam

RVD faced off against WWF Intercontinental Champion, William Regal in a Non-Title Match. RVD had control of the match the entire time, never giving Regal a chance to use the brass knuckles. RVD pinned Regal after giving him the "Five Star Frog Splash." Better luck next time Regal!

Answer: Edge

After RVD pinned Regal, and left the ring, Edge, came running through the crowd and attacked Regal. As Regal was just getting to his feet after receiving the "Five Star Frog Splash," Edge gave Regal the "Spear." Security guards were called in to escort Edge away, but Edge took off through the crowd. Edge was suspended because he attacked five referees, after being disqualified for using Regal's brass knuckles on Regal on Monday, January 21, 2002.

Answer: The Big Boss Man

The Big Boss Man faced off against Rikishi. Boss Man had control of the match, but toward the end Rikishi took control. Rikishi gave Boss Man, not one, but two "Banzai Drops" for the win. Way to go Rikishi!

Answer: Jackie

Jackie, who had recently received her referee's license, was the special referee for the match. Jackie, who stands about 5 feet tall, held her ground against the two giants. They knew better than to defy her!

Answer: Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley

Stephanie was getting a cup of coffee when she was approached by Lillian Garcia. Lillian asked Stephanie if everything was alright between her and Triple H, and told Stephanie that if she needed someone to talk to, that she would be there for her. In response, Stephanie threw her hot cup of coffee on Lillian. You could hear Lillian's screams of pain.

Answer: Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert

Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert faced off against Tazz and Spike Dudley for the WWF Tag Team Championship. Tazz and Spike successfully retained their titles when Tazz gave Scotty the "Tazzmission" for the win. Way to go Tazz and Spike!

Answer: Charleston

The Rock told Coach to perform the Charleston since they were in North Charleston, SC. At first Coach didn't want to, but when The Rock asked the audience if they wanted to see Coach dance, Coach had no choice but to dance.

Answer: Christian

Triple H was backstage when he was approached by Sharmell Sullivan, who asked The Game if he was alright. Triple H said that it wasn't a good time to talk. As she walked away, Christian came walking down the hallway, and told Triple H that he sympathized with him, stating that Stephanie had quite a temper. All of a sudden, Triple H assaulted Christian, ramming him into the chainlink fencing in the backstage area.

Answer: Booker T

Booker T faced against The Texas Rattlesnake. Thank God, Austin won when he gave Booker T a much deserved "Stone Cold Stunner" for the win. I'd like to know how Booker T was able to get a No. 1 Contender Match, considering that he hasn't won any of his three singles matches. Booker T really needs to get a totally different job, because he cannot wrestle to save his life. I mean even Maven, the "Tough Enough" winner, knows how to wrestle way better and more professionally than Booker T. Way to go Austin!

Answer: Kane and The Big Show

Kane and The Big Show faced off against The Dudley Boyz, who were accompanied by Stacy Kiebler, in a Tag Team Table Match. Unfortunately, The Big Show tossed Bubba Ray into the ropes, causing Kane, who was situated on the top turnbuckle, to fall into the table that was set up outside the ring.

After the match, Kane and Show got into a heated argument. Referees were called in to break the two giants up.

Answer: Washer and Dryer

While Kurt Angle was being interviewed by Coach, he walked away from Coach and leaned his hands against a washer and dryer. Angle then walked back to Coach, and told the crowd that if they said "what?" one more time, that he'd leave. Well, the crowd said "what?" again, and Angle left.

Answer: Jazz

Jazz faced off against Trish Stratus. The match was a non-title match. Jazz savagely attacked Trish, and was disqualified for not breaking an arm-bar submission hold.

Answer: Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle faced off against The Rock. Control of the match bounced between these two men. However, when The Rock put Angle in the "Sharpshooter," Jericho, who was the special guest commentator, pulled the referee out of the ring so he wouldn't see Angle tap out. Angle then pinned The Rock to face Austin on Monday, January 28, 2002 for the chance to face Jericho at "No Way Out" in February.

Answer: The Undertaker

After Jericho pulled the referee out of the ring, so he wouldn't see Angle tapping out, The Undertaker came to the ring and gave The Rock a major "Chokeslam," allowing Angle to win. Isn't Taker fantastic?!

Answer: nWo

Throughout "Smackdown," Vince was having a conversation with someone off-camera. He said that the WWF was dying because of Ric Flair, and that Flair gave the WWF the eating kind of cancer. Vince said that if anyone was going to kill the WWF it would be himself, since he made the WWF what it is today.

At the end of "Smackdown," we learned that Vince was talking to himself in the mirror. When Vince turned away from the mirror, "nWo" was shown to be spray painted on the back of Vince's leather chair.
