Yokozuna debuted in October 1992. He made his first Pay Per View appearance at "Survivor Series" 1992 where he defeated Virgil.

Yokozuna eliminated seven participants from the "Royal Rumble". One of those participants was Bob Backlund who had lasted for over one hour in the "Royal Rumble".

Yokozuna defeated Hart at "Wrestlemania IX" to win the title. His championship reign only lasted only a matter of minutes as Hulk Hogan came out and challenged him to a match, which Hogan won.

Mr. Fuji was Yokozuna's first WWE manager and remained by his side throughout his entire WWE career. Jim Cornette became his spokesman and adviser in 1993.

This was Yokozuna's last significant WWE appearance. He was taken off television until he could loose weight as WWE officials had became worried about his size.
