Answer: Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

"Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" debuted on American television in 1993 and quickly became a huge ratings success for children's programming.

The show was based on the Japanese Super Sentai series, going as far as to reuse fight scenes and dub over voices when actors were in costumes.
2. Four teenagers join together to battle the evil Shredder and his cronies. Which show is this?

Answer: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" television series debuted in 1987, three years after the comic book it was based on debuted.

The show featured four anthropomorphic teenaged turtles who learned the art of Ninjitsu and fought evil. They were Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.
3. Three pre-teens gain the power to transform into their favorite comic book heroes. Which show is this?

Answer: Big Bad Beetleborgs

"Big Bad Beetleborgs" ran for two seasons in the U.S. It was adapted from Japanese shows in the same vein as the "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers".

The show later was rebranded as "Beetleborg Metallix."

The show featured Drew, Jo and Roland as they met mystical beings, became characters from their favorite comic book and found the villains from the same book.
4. Which series followed an alien prince as he fought to protect the Earth from evil overlords from his own home planet?

Answer: The Masked Rider

Ted Roberts played Prince Dex, who would become titular hero in order to fight Count Dregon and his forces.

The series was a spin-off from the "Power Rangers" franchise. Dex was from the same planet where the Rangers' robotic helper Alpha 5 was built.

Only 40 episodes were produced before the show was cancelled.
5. Which show about a "street rat" from Agrabah and his friends had three full seasons made for daytime television?

Answer: Aladdin

The series picked up in continuity after "The Return of Jafar" and followed the exploits of Aladdin, his pet monkey Apu, Princess Jasmin, the Genie and other characters.

Dan Castellaneta took over the role of the Genie, which had originated in the 1992 film with Robin Williams. Castellaneta is well known for voicework on "The Simpsons" as well as dozens of other projects.
6. Which children's show had a main character who claimed to be the "terror who flaps in the night"?

Answer: Darkwing Duck

Drake Mallard, otherwise known as "Darkwing Duck" laid claim to that phrase. The series was a spin-off of the series "Talespin" with Launchpad the pilot being the main link between the two shows.

Set in the town of St. Canard, the show was a genre parody of early pulp fiction shows and movies. The show relied heavily on references to the comic book "The Shadow".
7. Which show had a lead character who ran a large company by day, and battled crime in Gotham City at night?

Answer: Batman: The Animated Series

Batman, also known as Bruce Wayne, fought crime on the streets of Gotham starting in the 1930s. The television series "Batman: The Animated Series" launched in 1992 after the big screen "Batman" movie made the character popular in the mainstream again.

The show was one of the highest rated children's programs in the U.S. in the early 1990s.
8. Which show was set in Anaheim and followed a team of alien hockey players?

Answer: Mighty Ducks

The series was launched as cross promotion for Disney, which owned the Mighty Ducks hockey team in the National Hockey League.

In an attempt to get children to help promote the team, and build fans early in their lives, an animated "Mighty Ducks" cartoon was released in 1996.

The series followed Wildwing, Nosedive and the rest of the team as they both fought other aliens and played hockey in their spare time.
9. Which show was adapted from the 1967 feature film "The Jungle Book" by bringing Baloo the bear from the movie into the realm of television?

Answer: Talespin

The series was set in Cape Suzette and turned Baloo from a bear living in the woods like he was in the movie to a pilot with his own plane in the show.

The show follows the exploits of Baloo and his navigator Kit as they battle pirates, learn to work well together and try to earn enough money for the bear to buy back his shipping company from the bank that seized his assets in the pilot.
10. The main characters of which show could only patrol at night due to being trapped in stone during the daylight?

Answer: Gargoyles

The gargoyle characters in "Gargoyles" were led by clan leader Goliath. They were cursed to turn to stone hundreds of years in the past by an evil sorceress and survived into modern day with humans believing them to be simple statues.

The statues were transported to New York and the series dealt with them adjusting to their new surroundings as well as battling the evil David Xanatos.
