Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Now it's happened once or twice, Someone couldn't pay the price, And I'm afraid I had to rake them 'cross the coals."

Answer: Poor Unfortunate Souls

It would have been a dead giveaway for me to add the next line--"To those poor unfortunate souls." This "The Little Mermaid" song is sung by the evil "sea witch" Ursula. "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" is from the movie "The Lion King", "Cruella deVil" is from "101 Dalmations", and while "Part of Your World" is also from "The Little Mermaid", it is performed by Ariel, the movie's star.
2. "They can sing, they can dance. After all dear, this is France."

Answer: Be Our Guest

This song is "Be Our Guest" from "Beauty and the Beast". This has always been one of my favorite songs in this movie! This part of the song is sung by Lumiere, the humorous candlestick. While the song "Les Poissons" is another Disney food song, it is from the movie "The Little Mermaid" and performed by the insane Chef Louie.

The song Gaston is also from "Beauty and the Beast", but is performed by all of Gaston's friends in order to glorify him. The song "The Second Star to the Right" is from the movie "Peter Pan".
3. "Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling, Through an endless diamond sky."

Answer: A Whole New World

This song is "A Whole New World" from the movie "Aladdin." The song "Once Upon a Dream" is from the movie "Sleeping Beauty", "Something There" is from "Beauty and the Beast". "Whistle While You Work" is from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves", and is sung by the dwarves-- Doc, Happy, Sneezy, Sleepy, Grumpy, Bashful, and Dopey.
4. "Look at me, I will never pass for a perfect bride, Or a perfect daughter."

Answer: Reflection

This line is taken from the song "Reflection" from "Mulan", one of my favorite Disney movies. Mulan sings this song after her unsuccessful meeting with the matchmaker. The song "A Girl Worth Fighting For" is also from the movie "Mulan", but is sung by Mulan and three of her hilarious soldier friends.

The song "Baby Mine" is from the classic Disney movie "Dumbo", and "Little Wooden Head" is from "Pinocchio".
5. "One minute I'm in Central Park, Then I'm down on Delancey Street."

Answer: Why Should I Worry?

This lyric is from "Why Should I Worry?", an upbeat song from the movie "Oliver and Company." The song Candle on the Water" is from "Pete's Dragon" and has a completely different feeling than that of "Why Should I Worry?" The song "Little April Shower" is from "Bambi" and "Painting the Roses Red" is from "Alice in Wonderland."
6. "The bees are buzzin' in the tree To make some honey just for me."

Answer: The Bare Necessities

This lyric is from the song "The Bare Necessities" and is sung by the lovable Baloo from "The Jungle Book." While "Everybody Wants To Be a Cat" and "He's a Tramp" are also songs sung by animals, "Everybody Wants To Be a Cat" is from "The Aristocats" and "He's A Tramp" is from "Lady and the Tramp." The song "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" is from the movie "Cinderella."
7. "Bless my soul! Herc was on a roll. Person of the week in every Greek opinion poll."

Answer: Zero to Hero

This song, "Zero to Hero" is from "Hercules" and is sung by the hysterically funny muses. "Feed the Birds" is from Mary Poppins, sung by Julie Andrews. "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" is from the movie "Song of the South", and "Topsy Turvy" is from the movie "The Hunchback of Notre Dame."
8. "How high does the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, then you'll never know."

Answer: Colors of the Wind

This song is "Colors of the Wind" from "Pocahontas". The song "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (aside from containing the longest word ever used in a song!) is from the movie "Mary Poppins." The song "Best of Friends" is from the movie "The Fox and the Hound" about the most unlikely of friends. "You'll Be In My Heart" is from the movie "Tarzan".
9. "Some folks might be A little bit smarter than I am. Bigger and stronger too, maybe."

Answer: You've Got a Friend in Me

This song, "You've Got a Friend in Me" is from the Disney/Pixar movie "Toy Story." The song "Strange Things" is also from the movie "Toy Story", but does not include the lyrics in the question. "Higitus Figitus" is from the movie "The Sword in the Stone" and "Friend Like Me", while having a similar title, is from the movie "Aladdin".
10. "Because he'll wear your favorite color Just so he can match your eyes."

Answer: That's How You Know

This song is "That's How You Know" from the movie "Enchanted", one of my new favorites. The song "Down to the Sea" is from the sequel to "The Little Mermaid", "Return to the Sea". The song "The Future Has Arrived" is from the futuristic movie "Meet the Robinsons". The song "I'm Still Here" is from "Treasure Island".
I hope you enjoyed my quiz on Disney music!
