Percy calls on his family with the Minister of Magic, his new boss, Rufus Scrimgeour. Only his mother seemed really happy to see him. Scrimgeour tries to persuade Harry to support the Ministry rather than Professor Dumbledore, but fails. Professor Lupin has been living with a werewolf pack, trying to get them on Dumbledore's side.

He tells Harry of the most dangerous werewolf, Greyback. This was the wolf that attacked Lupin as a child.

Harry can't take his test until July, when he comes of age, but Hermione and Ron will be able to. In Harry's next lesson with Dumbledore, it shows a meeting of a previous Slug Club with a younger Tom Riddle. Riddle asks Slughorn about Horcruxes, but the Professor seems annoyed by the question. Professor Dumbledore says that this particular memory has been modified, he asks Harry to get the real memory. Until he does, there isn't much point in continuing the lessons.

The Apparition lessons aren't going very well with Professor Twycross. Ron celebrates his birthday in March. He gets a watch from his parents. Ron accidentally eats some Chocolate Cauldrons. Unfortunately Harry was given these by a Romilda Vane, a Ravenclaw fourth year, before Christmas.

The cakes are filled with love potion, and Ron becomes infatuated with Romilda. Harry takes Ron to Professor Slughorn for a remedy. Then they toast Ron's health with mead. The mead is poisoned; it was supposed to be a present for Professor Dumbledore. Harry saves Ron by putting a bezoar down his throat.

Luna Lovegood gives a very entertaining Quidditch commentary when Gryffindor play Hufflepuff. Ron is out of action so Cormac McLaggen replaces him, but he keeps telling the other players how to play. Harry ends up in the hospital ward with a cracked skull, from McLaggen's wild playing. Gryffindor lose. Harry is growing more and more convinced that Malfoy is up to something.

Hepzibah was a descendent of Helga Hufflepuff; the cup belonged to her. She also had the Slytherin locket, which belonged to Marvolo Riddle. She brought this locket from Mr Borgin. Tom now works for Borgin and Burkes. These two trinkets vanish and Hepzibah is found dead.

Her House Elf is accused of poisoning her. Harry also sees a young Tom Riddle, who returned to Hogwarts, and asked a younger Professor Dumbledore for a job. Dumbledore refused, as he never trusted Tom. Dumbledore tells Harry, after witnessing the memory, that Voldemort wanted the D.A.D.A. job, and they've never been able to keep a D.A.D.A. teacher for a whole year since Voldemort asked for a job.

Harry also saw Mundungus in Hogsmeade, with things belonging to Sirius. Shunpike has also been arrested on a different charge. Dobby and Kreacher tell Harry that Malfoy is going into the Room of Requirement. Crabbe and Goyle are taking Polyjuice Potion to transform themselves into girls, to guard the door. No matter how Harry tries he cannot get in the Room of Requirement.

All these beasts can be found in "Fantastic Beats and Where to Find them" by Newt Scamander. Aragog is buried; Harry goes to the burial with Professor Slughorn. Slughorn hopes to get some venom from the spider. Harry takes some Felix Felicis and manages to persuade the Professor to part with the real memory that Dumbledore wants.

A Horcrux is an object where you can hide fragments of your soul. When you kill, your soul divides. Tom Riddle's secret diary (from Harry's second year) was a Horcrux and so was Marvolo Gaunt's ring. These two Horcruxes have now been destroyed, but Dumbledore believes there are four more.

The final Horcrux is Lord Voldemort's soul itself. Lord Voldemort can only be killed by first destroying the other Horcruxes.

Harry is growing closer to Ginny, and is delighted when she breaks up with Dean Thomas. Harry puts a spell on Malfoy, when he finds him crying in the boy's bathroom. The spell is one of the "Half Blood Prince's" and it goes horribly wrong. Professor Snape manages to save his life. Snape is puzzled how Harry has come so successful at Potions. Harry hides his Advanced Potion Making book in the Room of Requirement. Snape puts Harry on detention; he misses the final Quidditch match. Gryffindor win the match; Ginny and Harry finally kiss.

Hermione finds out about a previous Hogwarts student, Eileen Prince. She is convinced that this is the Half Blood Prince. Harry goes to see Professor Dumbledore, they are going to go and destroy another Horcrux. On his way he bumps into a slightly drunk Professor Trelawney.

She says somebody is celebrating in the Room of Requirement. She also talks of the prophecy she made to Dumbledore, and how Professor Snape was the eavesdropper. This angers Harry - Snape gave information to Lord Voldemort, which killed his parents. Harry gives Hermione and Ron the last of the Felix Felicis before he goes, and warns them of trouble ahead.

The potion in the stone basin makes Professor Dumbledore weaker and weaker. At the bottom of the basin is a locket, which looks like the Slytherin locket. Harry and Dumbledore head back to Hogwarts.

Answer: Over Hogwarts Astronomy Tower

There is a fierce battle raging below when Dumbledore and Harry arrive at the castle. Soon Harry and Dumbledore reach the Astronomy Tower. Soon Malfoy comes up there, he has been working for the Dark Lord all year. There is a Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement which links to Borgin and Burkes. Malfoy has got orders to kill Dumbledore but seems reluctant to do so. Harry is unable to help.

Then Snape comes to the Astronomy Tower. He puts the Killing Curse of Dumbledore who falls to his death. Snape, Malfoy and other Death Eaters make their escape

Harry follows Snape and does all spells he can think off to kill him. But each spell is stopped. Snape reveals himself to be the Half Blood Prince before fleeing with Malfoy and other Death Eaters. The locket that Harry and Dumbledore retrieved is a fake Horcrux; but there is a letter inside it, to the Dark Lord, signed by a R. A. B.

All these were mentioned in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets". Bill Weasley has been badly mauled by Greyback. He may develop werewolf tendencies. Fleur still plans to marry him however. Tonks and Lupin finally declare their love for each other.

Professor Snape was not a pure blood, as he had always boasted. His mother was Eileen Prince (the girl Hermione had found out about) while Tobias was a Muggle. Dumbledore's funeral is held in Hogwarts grounds, it is uncertain that Hogwarts will reopen. Harry breaks up with Ginny - it is too dangerous for them to be together.

He will not return to Hogwarts anyway. He plans to find the four remaining Horcruxes and kill Lord Voldemort. He also plans to go to Godric's Hollow to see his parent's grave. Hope you've enjoyed my quiz.
